They probably have tried but maybe no takers.  If Bridges is looking for a max deal they should try to get something for him.  It’s a mess but I don’t see us giving him that deal with Jordan around.  My 2 cents

If Miles wants a max deal he can go to Detroit. Not going to give up a max deal to someone that hasn't made an all star appearance. Plus he is drinking lean on camera. Lol

This is a agent move.. To get other teams money up on a bid for Miles.. Thinking they have a chance by increasing their signing money.. The Hornets have the room to sign Bridges and not go to the MAX..

Starting to hear that Hornets aren't giving out any max contracts so Miles has to consider taking a lot of money instead of max money.

Max money is all-star money. So for Miles, there goes at least two potential max contracts including hometown Detroit.

Why would the Hornets say they are giving a restricted free agent a max deal already? That makes zero sense since they can just match any offer Miles gets and will want to keep more cap space available for any other free agents they may want to sign.
