So what he was on the roster.. He was drafted by Seifert not Fox.. And had lost the job to Rodney Peete before Jake got here.. 

There was never a competition between Weinke and Jake.  Stop capping..

One issue is the QB coach and McAdoo trying to teach all 3 guys a new offense/verbiage at the same time. Corral naturally will probably take a little longer with actual play calling and probably won't get the attention/reps he needs for a while.

Other hits on this and other Sam threads- it's a money deal. Doesnt matter if he takes a Baker type pay cut, its still 16+ mill

The whole NFL had Sam thought of as enigma/potential when he was a Jet. That 2021 season removed ALL the hope and his value tanked faster than Jimmy Biden.

Yes. If Cam hadn't been ready, Pickles would've started. Back to back 400 yard games out of the gate said Cam was more than ready.

If they'd gone by your standard, Pickles very well may have been the day one starter. Cam looked pretty rocky in preseason. Hell, he always did. Cam was a gamer much like Jake was. Way better on Sundays than in practice.

The fact that Cam looked rocky in Pre season and still was day 1 starter proves it wasn't a "true" competition from the beginning..
