Training Camp Wednesday 8-10 Discussion

It appears our  D is getting carved up more in training camp this year.  Is that just me?

If so, the question becomes,  has the O improved that much or the D declined that much or both?

I haven't heard, are we running the same formation every play like McAdoo did in NY?

All depends on if it goes along with what they want to hear or not.

Nah. It's about trust.

Scott Fitterer could say something I really didn't want to hear and I'd probably believe him.

Matt Rhule could say something I absolutely want to hear and I'd just as likely call bullsh-t.

Not everything Matt Rhule says is stupid, but given his poor performance as a head coach over the last two seasons, when he does say dumb sh-t, it gets magnified.

I've actually been disappointed that we haven't heard anything from Barno.  Just from his measurables, I thought he would've flashed at least a little bit in camp, but I haven't heard a single thing about him.  Interested to see what happens with Mays and Brown.  Also wondering if Smith, who apparently had been running with the 1s some, will practice with these guys at all today?

To be fair, we really haven't heard about many rookies. What we've heard has been basically by people not officially associated with the Panthers, other than a mention in a random presser when asked. We've heard a little more about Ickey because he's a presumed starter.

Like this?

This is one of the better team's I've been around.

I think our culture is really strong and that comes down to Matt and the coaching staff and what he's built here.

And Fit has said 3 QBs.

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
