Seriously, did Rhule think a game one rookie was going to be perfect against Garrett.  It is those type of decisions that are going to cost us game after game.  It's already happened once and it is only game 1.

Not impressed by one good quarter of football. If that was Cam that fact would've been pointed out but instead people are on the dudes nuts completely, underservedly.

this is an underrated by true point here. That poo in first half by Baker was inexcusable even taking the OLINE, play calling, defense,  and coaching into account

he played like it was his first time playing QB in his entire life somehow . It looked like it was too big for him. No cap.

Like who was advertising? You got Mayfield for almost nothing. He's a hell of a lot better than what you had. He is not a hall of fame q.b. His problems are in his head, not in his ability. The guy has a fragile ego, and that's why he's inconsistent. He struggles as soon as he has a few incompletions. But...once he gets his confidence, he's hard to beat. The bottom line is he led the Panthers on a come back and put them in a position to win. Brisset didn't beat you yesterday.....the defense and the penalties on that last drive by the Browns beat you. Yeah...you can say "if he wouldn't have played like crap in the first half we would have won". I would say if your defense would have played better, you would have won. Also...who thought their rookie kicker would make a 58 yard f.g. with the game on the line?

They tried with Tremble and Ian... they failed continuously. I think putting Ricci in there proved to be effective. Ricci is just quicker on his feet than the other two. I went back and watched the game through NFL+... we started chipping and providing support to the left side at the very begining of the 2nd half. 

 

Just sounds like a halftime adjustment.

He's not a technician, not a student of the game, just a guy getting by not driven to be the best him he could be because moxy and trash talk worked just good enough to Fake it.

Four years in. He is who he is, just like Sam.

The huddle said he was the second coming of Drew Brees and Jake Delhomme.

      After listening to Morgan's presser twice, I came away with some key beliefs. First of all, I don't think he's a bullshitter. What you see is what you get. When he says something, he means it.  The Teppers really have evolved as owners. Morgan has mentioned how they're easy to work with--a pleasure to work with a few times now. There seems to be a good relationship between all of them (and include Dave Canales on that). We'll see if it lasts. Yes, no one wanted to come to Carolina with the previous management, but that seems to have changed. The team signed arguably the top Edge, LB and OT on the market, two of them on pretty good deals and one on what I'll say is "not a bad one." And, credit Sunshine Dave "Flowers and Cotton Candy" Canales for helping to change the culture. Morgan mentioned getting guys--and I'm paraphrasing--that are not only great football players but great people. Don't look for us to be acquiring any James Pearce types anytime soon, just saying. We'll see if that holds true in the future. Dan Morgan really has set up the Panthers to take the BPA/BAP. He mentioned it at least a couple of times, and he doesn't seem pressured to pinpoint a particular position. He just wants quality players that will help the team. This is how it's going to be (to your joy or dismay, probably for as long as he's here), and personally I love it. Many of us know how Morgan was when he played: aggressive! That's what he's going to be when making acquisitions. He explicitly said it, and emphasized it. All avenues are open (think FA, waivers...the draft)! Personally, as long as it's controlled aggression and not reckless aggression, I love it.  On KP: "Mobility is big in this league."  He basically says if another QB is the BPA while drafting--we're going by our board, people--we're going to add them.        ...

      I like Morgan's approach but I'll wait for a few winning seasons before giving too much praise.
