Do you ever get tired of making these excuses for a head coach with back to back 5 win seasons who lost to every head coach that was fired?

What was the rep Distribution For Aaron Rodgers, Joe Burrows, Dak Prescott and other QBS that struggled week 1??

Like they normally do...

I've copied this question and will paste it until you actually answer it or stop quoting me..

Re the reps.

There is more to coaching than meets the eye. Or many eyes.
Team morale was a huge consideration in the QB ‘competition’. That was kind of in the open I thought or at least I am thinking I read it from a beat writer. Maybe the Athletic or elsewhere.

I get it. Team knows that the best guy earned the job, gets behind new guy.

Or new guy gets handed the job, there is maybe division when your guy is getting benched with no chance to compete for it.

I think people have some fairly unrealistic expectations for the opening week. Which is full of bad football every year, from teams that end up decent and some that end up champions.

We have a 5 win team heading into a new season with huge changes made to the roster and also staff. We have the rook LT who everyone knew would be schooled in that game. And was. The thing you hope for is will he get better from it?

I think the team is going to get better as the season goes if they can stay healthy. And it is a long season. I think that is more what people ought to be looking at.

No other team talks about rep Distribution after 1 game.. 2 MVP later and he still doesn't rep with his WR.. So what does that mean??

Sam had all the reps last year.. How did that workout??

I knew Rep Distribution would be a talking point if we lost and here it is..lol

Not if we'd have looked halfway decent... even in a loss.

It's an issue now because the first half to three quarters of that game had us watching one of the sh-ttiest overall performances I've ever seen from any team, not just us.

And if you're talking defense, all four quarters.

Sorry dude, but there is no spin in the world that could make what we saw yesterday look any better.

This is the NFL,and unfortunately our head coach isn't qualified to coach in it.

Defense had alot of Reps and still got ran over...

I don't get how some of you expected perfect execution in this game in the 1st place.. The offense is practically new and I guess they were supposed to come out firing against a top 5 defense..smh

Nobody expects "perfect" in week one.

We have every right to expect "competent".

What we got instead was absolutely awful.

And I can tell you this: If you watched many other teams yesterday, you'd have been hard pressed to find a unit that looked as top to bottom terrible as we did.

Rodgers had his team in the playoffs last year Dak had his team in the playoffs Burrow had his team in the Super Bowl while the Panthers are starting off how they finished last season. You just can't reason with some of these sycophants.

dumb and dumber thread GIF

    • I was never onboard with Morgan to begin with.  The dude always seemed a hammer short of a full tool bag, maybe too many concussions.  He was a Fitterer hold over and I thought he should have been gone when Fitts went.  He literally made it to NFL GM with no credentials to speak of other than a playing career.  Shorts stints of personnel management for the Seahawks and Bills, neither organization choosing promotion or retention.  I believe Morgan was added as a friendly face to sooth the a fanbase that was growing to hate Tepper and probably retained for the same reason.  Morgan never coached, had minimal front office experience and the GM he "assisted" was deservedly fired.  From what I can find online he received a BA in Liberal Arts from Miami so that isn't exactly a qualification either.
    • If you really want to change the identity of the culture, then your opinion may indeed be the way to go. 1) I see nothing from our drafts since 2020 to indicate that either the scouts or the GM's are shrew evaluators of college talent. 2) A new GM should be able to hire a coach since his livelihood is directly affected by how well the coach can get the team to perform on Sundays. The only time I'm ok with a GM keeping the coach that proceeded his hiring is if the new GM wants to work with the coach. Ideally, He should have final say over the coach instead of the owner. And, that coach and GM need to be in sync on how the team should be run on both sides of the ball. 3) A new coach should be able to pick his own staff. If he wants to keep a coach already on the staff that's fine. A new HC hire shouldn't be told that you have to use this guy for one of the jobs, especially a position as important OC or DC.
    • The crazy thing is some of these plays that went down to like 2 on the play clock were basic inside zone runs. That poo shouldn't take 30+ seconds to decide when you are down 24... It's not like they had to hot route multiple receivers and change blocking assignments after lining up. It's almost like Canales has somebody else's playbook and needs to flip through 10 pages to try and figure out what play he is going to run
