With an actual QB I'd agree. With what's currently in the cupboard, there simply is nothing to cobble an offense around. There isn't  a threat you can't beat NFL defenses with 2 dudes.

It's hard to judge Wilks on one game alone. Also unfair to judge on the resuls because frankly, there's barely anything on offense to work with and our defense was depleted.

However, we can judge Wilks for his decision making and I was not impressed today. As others pointed out, to not use any of those timeouts at the end of the half was unacceptable. So what if the offense had been putrid up to that point? There could've beena a PI on a deep pass attempt, CMC breaking a long run, and so on. Give your players a chance to do something but instead, Wilks basically said he doesn't trust his players at all.

Again, not discounting Wilks yet but if today's an indication of what he can offer, he's not the guy for the job.

      I thought Matt Rhules felt like a traveling preacher/sewing machine salesman. Then I thought Reich had the emotions of the captain of a baby seal clubbing team. I kind of like Canales and think he may be adaptable in today's NFL. I know we need to to see it but does he not give you guys hope too, or will he get his moniker too?
