Updated Cap for 2023 after the CMC trade……

As of now we are negative 3 million. This includes rolling over 10.6 million this year to next. 28.5 million in dead cap but we can easily get above water with a few moves but still not pretty.

Although this is a massive mess it’s smart to get this all out of the way next year. No more kicking the fan down the road.

If it makes you feel any better, the Saints are projected to be $65M over the cap with just 36 guys signed next year.

And no 1st Rounder

The salary cap is not great, but it's nowhere near disaster.  Especially considering we aren't going to be adding a huge QB salary next year.

We’re cleaning up the salary cap for 2024, we will get a QB with a rookie contract etc. Far from doom and gloom.

We can get to 50+ million in cap space if necessary so we could play in FA in the offseason with the new coach, plus the picks.

When you've reached this level of rock bottom, where else can it go? 

I certainly didn't mean things are sunshine and roses.  But I would take our position over the Saints going forward.  Of course, they haven't already had to endure 4+ years of current misery
