I thought our roster would get us about 5 wins this season. I might have been wrong. The Falcons, Saints, and Bucs are starting to look like trash. We have too much talent on our roster to lose to trash teams assuming the right playcalling is being made. MacD is calling better run plays, and he has been calling good pass plays all along. If PJ can play decent we could be looking at 7 wins, and that might put us too far down the draft for a QB. That would be worst case scenario.

Why, because he 6'6"? His TD to INT is pretty bad.  If he's struggling to hit 2:1 in college, what makes you thik he's going to improve upon that in the NFL?  He's not overly athletic and the ball doesn't jump out of his hand.

Perfect example of why NOT to draft a QB just because he's sitting on the draft board and it's a need.

No man, he plays is one of the most awful systems devoid of talent you could almost ever watch play, and some how still puts out okay numbers. Make no mistake Stanford is an awful program with no talent right now. That guy can make all the throws, great arm, good mobility. His adjuster accuracy rate is way above the numbers. You need to watch him play to understand.

Josh Allen was taken with the 7th pick, Lamar Jackson the 32nd, Mahomes was 10th, Watson 12th

You don't have to have the number 1 overall to get a great QB

It's literally a crap shoot at QB.  Even taking the #1 overall prospect at QB guarantees you zilch.  The bust rate of QBs is crazy.  I get the concept you can't be scared to take a swing and miss, but man, there's been a TON of swings that never connected.

I like the just take any top QB people. That's how you end up with a Baker Mayfield as the #1 pick..  Take the right QB for your team.

L. Jackson(MVP) was #32 while top 10 QBs from that draft will be looking for new teams next yr.

It's too early in the season to study the top 10 prospects because they will shuffle a lot before the end of the season.  I will say stats sometimes don't tell the entire story, but most of the time, numbers don't lie.   I'm not saying the kid is horrible, but is he worth a top 10 pick if it comes to that?  Right now, I would say no.

Look at the Jets and how picking a QB about every year or so has worked out for them!  Nobody doubts this team DESPERATELY needs a franchise QB, but desperation usually makes for bad mistakes.

I don't care who the QB is just start stacking wins. Weather it's PJ, Baker, Sam, corral or some draft pick just win. Yesterday showed that there is too much talent on this team to be constantly sabotaged by poor QB play and play calling. MacAdoo looked competent and PJ didn't torpedo the ship so let's build on that and keep improving.

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
