Hornets are trash and mediocre at best. Bridges and Ball being out make this team unwatchable, nothing entertaining. Rehiring Steve Clifford gives me Rhule vibes. Banchero is the real deal and he is killing the hornets, where is our coveted center in Williams doing (sitting on the bench). Trash organization.

Cliff is a solid coach. He makes the most of what he has...which right now isn't much. Got a feeling this is going to be a redshirt year for Mark. He was still pretty raw coming out of Duke. I think they start Nick next year with Mark as the backup.

Plumlee has got to go. We cannot have another year of this. He has no business as a starter.

Exactly!!! It's ridiculous that they trot him out there and we have invested in that position. The biggest issue we are having is someone boxing out, grabbing boards or flat out just patrolling the rum from easy buckets. Nic has produced  so much in limited time and has earned the chance to start! The infatuation  these coaches have had with mediocrity at the 5 spot is uncanny as hell.

I see you have forgotten that the vet loving big red dog is coaching the Hornets. Plumlee will remain the starter unless traded or he has a season ending injury.

Yep Cliff just going vet patrol. Smh I hope he makes the change soon!

Didn't Oubre say something about not just jacking up 3s this season? He's already back to doing just that.

More attention needs to be on this. Oubre needs to stop killing this team with that crap. What does he bring to the table that is positive?

Oubre's extra important with LaMelo and Terry out. Him and Gordon are our top outside shooters, but he's a high volume shooter. When he's in rhythm he's a superstar but when he's cold he's hard to watch.

I haven't seen the "superstar" part, he has cost this team WAY more than he has helped them. The potential is there, but he has no idea how to know when he is off (seems to me he is mostly off).

    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
    • I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer. Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking?    I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued.
