So Carolina turned down 3 first round picks and 1 second round pick for Burns/Moore?!?

so basically rams offered 2 first round picks for burns. those picks because the rams are decent would be towards the back end of first round. we got burns mid way through first. so the value of 2 late round picks might not even equal burns value. not to mention one of those picks would have to be his replacement.

If your trying to replace him you need to hit which isnt a sure thing. could just set us back. same thing with Moore. hes a proven entity. 3 1000 yard seasons... finding those guys isnt easy. Especially guys that are good and young which both are.

Teams wont be as desperate in the offseason.  It's like post season clarity lol

Yeah, we'll never get offered 2 1st and 1 2nd for Burns again. The Rams were absolutely desperate.  How the fug do you not make that trade?  Fitt lost his damn mind.

If this is indeed correct then I’m ok letting Fitt go.

It’s actually inexcusable to squander that much draft capital for a borderline #1 WR and a Top 15 DE who’s about to be paid as the highest overall

I’ve been saying this for weeks yet I was told how dumb that would be 😂

Panthers draft capital if they made the Burns trade:

2023: 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5

2024: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 5, 6

2025: 1, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7

You could pretty much have your choice of coaches with a setup like that to let them draft "their guys". The Panthers just need to do a huddle poll if they want the right answers.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
