He dissappears for entire games man. He is not an elite edge or a 3 down edge. Let it go.

Wow youre really good at putting words and peoples mouths and thinking you know their arugment.

I have not once said Brian Burns is an elite edge rusher, I've not even said he's good against the run.

I've said he's a good Edge. He's a good pass rusher. He can be better, absolutely, but he's a good pass rusher not unlike players like Preston Smith, Shaq Barret and Reddick. A tier below players like Healthy Bosas, Miller, Mack etc.

He's a good pass rusher. He's fine on this team. He makes things easier for the rest of our d-line and hopefully we can find pass rushers than make things easier for him.

OR get this-- we can still trade him in the future!!

this is your rebuttal? lol... were their running backs sick too (3.8 ypc)? or their offensive line (3 sacks, 7 hurries, 5 TFLs)?

So with a good QB we win today then.... bc Ravens QB was sick.

Dude, Jackson is a key part of their run game.  Besides the pass game opens up the run game and you know it.

The guy who thinks a QB can turn this franchise around is the same guy thinking that a sick QB didn't suppress Baltimore's offense.  They had over 300 yards O, how many with a healthy Jackson?

outside left tackle isnt "straight at Brown"

I know you like to feel you are always right, but you're wrong. Video proves it.

Drake baited Brown into the 2 gap and cut back in a huge 1 gap between the center and guard. Tackle blocked down on the MLB and guard kicked out Burns who got too deep. That was between Brown and Burns to the inside of the LG with the LT free release to the MLB.

Drake ran all the way to the sidelines after going through the huge A gap because it was wide open.

Only explaining it in detail because you may not see it on all the highlights or the 22 on repeat.

Smarter than your dense ass

Pass rush doesn't grow on trees, s'way harder to replace 7-9 sacks than it is to find it.

On top of that I've yet to see a team really turn the corner recently for having two first round picks. Jags sure as poo didn't do anything with the picks they gave up Ramsey for. fug we got the Corner they tried to replace him with.

These same people would have wanted to trade after Peppers 2007 season also...

A consistent pass rusher is almost as hard to find as a franchise QB and we literally have people mad we haven't already traded our best Edge rusher in 15 years who just had 2 sacks against one of the hardest guys in the league to sack...

How do you even begin to try to reason with this mentality?

There are numerous picks from the second third and fourth round with comparable stats

List em'.

List the 'numerous' picks -- outside of known assets like Max Crosby -- that have put up 32.5 sacks in the 3 years and change that Brian Burns has as an Edge rusher.

Flukey sacks, Flash in the pan player, whatever. Show me the players in the league right now that have done that and they're 2nd, 3rd and 4th round players.

Well this is going to be fun.....

First, there is no "2 gap" because we ran a 4 man front. Bc since you know so much, you already know that In a 2 gap system your Nost Tackle is responsible for the two A gaps, and then your ends are responsible for the B and C gaps. Since we were running 4 down lineman on this play... Burns was the C gap, Brown was the A gap, Roy was the B gap, and YGM was the other C. gap.

I am watching the video now, thanks to YT TV. Brown closes the b gap as assigned, and Burns gets eaten up by the play fake draw, and Luvu who is supposed to be the backfill for the C gap with Burns.... gets lost and attacks the B gap with Shaq. Leaving Woods one on one with Kenyan Drake.

So to clarify ... there was no "huge A gap" ... the was an open  C gap. There is no defensive scheme where your DT is repsonsible for the C gap.....

Also, the part in bold .... literally did not happen on that play... the LT is 7 yards behind the LOS by the time Drake breaks it to the outside.

Again, you just make stuff up...

I think the point is, Burns wasn't worth what they offered.

Fitt thinks we're just  QB away.

We aren't.

I get that, but screaming and crying how much Burns sucked when he actually had a good game ruins the message. Also if we had average QB play today we probably beat a solid team in the Ravens.

I’m also confused as to posters saying how stupid Fitt is for not making the trade. However they expect this same stupid GM to find another Burns in the next draft or two providing he made the trade? How does that work?
