Hypothetical: If we win the NFCS, should Wilks win COTY?

In the unlikely scenario we win out and win the division, Wilks should be a top vote getter for Coach of the Year, right? This team was an absolute trash fire when he came in, and he's cleaned up so much of it already.

Looooong road ahead for a playoff berth, but might as well dream big while you can.

I think technically all coaches are eligible, it's just always gone to the HC for obvious reasons. I think back to when Pagano had cancer, and Arians won COTY despite being the OC again by the time playoffs came around.

I don't see how they don't give it to Philly's coach, but if we win out, get to 9-8, and win the division with our shitshow we have at QB and after trading away CMC, he would earn it in my book.

If the NFCS had a team above .500, he should be in the running. But being a division winner in a division this bad isn't quite the accomplishment it looks like.

Considering we were absolutely trash when Wilks took over.  He would have to be at least considered.

He would certainly deserve it but you have to give it to one of the newer coaches running successful teams.

His record so far isn’t amazing. He’s just been better than Matt Rhule.
