Unless we lose out or something, I'd rather keep Wilks than hire Frank Reich.  I'd be open to Steichen or Johnson.

I've said that the day Sean Payton is the head coach of the Carolina Panthers will mark my last day as a Panthers fan. The team would be dead to me.

The nice thing with a Steichen hire is that he could pull in Brian Johnson for his OC who's apparently been raved about in Philly for coaching up Hurts.  Do that, retain Wilks if he wants to stay on board (and Shane is cool with it).  That's about as good of a scenario as you can ask for.

Much crazier things have happened in this league. If Tepper wants Payton he does have some tools to try to get him. Overpay assets in a trade with the Aints and give Payton the biggest HC contract in history. No it's not likely but I wouldn't rule anyone out prematurely.

I very seriously doubt Tepper is going to make another ground breaking wild splash with his next head coach move after the last one blew up in his face and made him look like a total clown. If we win the division it's gonna be Wilks. It's the quiet, safe move and the media will heap praise on him for hiring a minority candidate who got screwed over in his first HC gig.

I'd Take Jim Harbaugh or Sean Payton over Wilks maybe, but that's about it. 

 

Maaaayybeee the eagles OC, but anyone after that is an emphatic NO over Wilks.
