Stroud and Young by all accounts appear as bonafide franchise QBs

you just can’t win in this league without one

Baltimore looks like ASS without Lamar

Every. Dam. Year.

Pause and reflect. Odds are very high that one or both can't play at the NFL level.

You keep digging at this lol. Glass, Ridder, Purdy, and Coan were the only QBs worth getting on the roster IMO. I don't hit all the time, but I hit more than I miss with my QB algo. Only 3 multi QB drafts since the Panthers have been around. 1998, 2012, and 2022.

My offseason suggestion for camp was this... Jimmy G/Flacco/Foles (one as vet). Unload Darnold for any draft pick. Bring in 3 of the following... Ridder, Glass, Purdy, Coan. That is how you start the QB room for the 2022 season. Keep the vet and let the 3 rooks prove themselves. Hand the team over to the rook that wins the team for a miracle season run. I also said to use the 1st pick on a #1 WR for a miracle season run too (Garrett Wilson was my 1st choice, but there was a deep list this year).

We will see how Glass does over the next few seasons.

Given opportunities, I would not be shocked to hear people 10 years from now call me out on BS for Purdy and Glass like they now call me out for Brady and Warner. We will see.

The future is never screwed. A good GM/Coach combo can turn the worst team into a contender in 2 to 3 seasons easy.

Darnold is a FA after this season.

It has gotten so much worse in the past 5 years or so.  I think it is a combination of a society that expects instant gratification, think playing fantasy football makes them capable of being a coach/GM, and the underlying mental illness issues that have been plaguing the country brought on and worsened by Covid.

This toxic mix compels some to try to drag others into the mental illness they are obviously suffering from.  I truly don't understand why they stick around if they are so bothered by everything.

I once thought a lot of the straight up sh*tposting was trolling, but the overwhelming prevalence and the absolute need to be heard over social media along with the need to try to drag others into their misery is something new.  Mental health is this country is a massive issue, and a lot of these types of posts are both pathetic and in a sad way, a cry for help.

Seriously, if a game is causing you the kind of mental anguish to post something like this, you need professional help, and I genuinely hope you seek it out.  You sound suicidal over what is ultimately a game.  Take a day, reread this, and really think about why you felt the need to broadcast this.  Because I personally think it's way more about mental health and an inability to cope than it is about the Panthers losing a football game b/c full stop this sounds unhinged.

Bravo 😃  I agree 100%.

I mean, I'm a fan.  I get invested in the team and games.  But I don't let it ruin my life.  I used to do that.  It sucks.  It sucked for my family.  Why am I punishing anyone for the fact I got too caught up in the game.  Instead, when things go south, I just rationalize it and move on.  Know what I did after the Bucs caught the onside kick?  I helped make some awesome oreo balls with my family.  Know who cares less about the game?  me 😃

I still love and care about my Panthers.  I relish the feelings of wins, but I don't let the losses drag me down.  While Rhule was still here, I would watch for a few players, but I didn't care much about the games.  Wilks changed that, and it was great!

But it's entertainment to us.  It's lives for the players.  I want all the guys in the NFL to make as much money as possible, to be safe and healthy as possible.  Seeing what happened last night was just heartbreaking, and it puts it all in perspective.

Enjoy things or don't.  Just don't let it ruin you.

This may be the best post in Huddle history, absolutely nailed it!

How does this actually hurt the team?

Revenue sharing, games being sold out(even though the stands are empty), and the TV contracts assure that you leaving is not going to affect this team or Tepper. Look at the Browns and Jets. They suck 90% of the time. All it takes is one winning season and people come out of the woodwork. Same here.

    • This is about getting open and YAC....and the QB we have.  You basically are just highlighting average depth when targeted vs 2 players. .  And yeah, I often say AT is a small slow reliable TE in terms of what he does for us.   That's what he is.   I think a couple of you want to make this into a Renfrow argument.   I'm a Renfrow fan.  Renfrow does not check the box of what a BY O needs either at the slot.  Renfrow just a niche roleplayer at this level.  it's easy to look up how horrific AT is with the ball in his hands and in terms of getting open.....and it's also easy to look up what a low ceiling of an offense the steady AT diet produces w/ BY.
    • The one time he's actively tried to lose was the best we've ever done.
    • I simply acknowledge BY is the QB.  And just like we did when we drafted him.....the type O you would need to setup around him for success was always pretty simple.  But we have done virtually the opposite.  XL dropping some passes isn't why we were ranked the 32nd O and 30th passing the past 2 years.  *Ricky Prohel was brought up only in regards to role function he served on the team.  Niche/specialist.   He wasn't eating up the snaps in the O.    AT should have a similar snap %. People could MAUL Ricky Prohel and put hands all over him.   We got to the Super Bowl in part because we were mauling guys (our slot CB).   You can't do that now.  AT has a MUCH easier life and still can't get open.  Or run.    If you live in 3 WR sets, with a weak armed QB, and you choose to put someone who can't get open or run in the slot.......well, your are going to have a weak pass O.  That's by design IMO.
