Burns is a goddamn liability in the run game (as witnessed yesterday and against pitt) so he is essentially a one trick pony no matter what his age is.  3 picks in the top 40 he is most certainly not worth especially considering we are about to pay him as the top end in the league

He isnt a run stopper. He isnt even really a defense end. your comparing him to guys who are 270-280. hes honestly a 3-4 edge and thats what he projected to be. is that his fault you use him at end to stop the run? no.  athleticism is always valuable. 1 trick or not its a damn good trick. Maybe  there are 20 guys in the league with double digit sacks but thats 20 out of 32 teams including defensive tackles thats rare

Agree with that burns should have been dealt, but Fields is the most overrated QB this season. He can run, but his team struggles to put up 20 point per game.

Sure, but you're totally discounting the fact that his team has a bad offensive line in terms of pass blocking, and unless you just really follow the NFL, you don't know any of his receivers because they're nothing to write home about. You may not know any of his skill players.

The case for doing what it takes to acquire a top QB who can will the team to winning is made right here. That's what the league sees, not a "as long as he doesn't mess it up" game manager QB and all the highs and lows of that.

Much rather a QB that we have confidence in to win us games rather than hope and crossed fingers.

you can do that without losing the second most important position in the game. you got a haul for CMC your already picking top 10. should be very doable.

Not so long ago, Tepper took the lead role in trying to recruit a sexual deviant to be the face of the Panthers franchise.  That, and signing Rhule, an NFL novice, to a 7 year contract based on meatballs.  I don't need to see anything else to realize Tepper would be better off leaving the crucial team decisions to NFL executives that are proven winners.  In 2019 his choice for HC came down to Rhule or Mike McCarthy.  Shouldn't have been a hard choice.  Several years later the Panthers are still looking for a HC, while the Cowboys are in serious contention for a Super Bowl.

Tepper was busy trying to be the smartest owner in the room when he should have just hired the best HC available and let the guy do his job.

From everything I've read Fitterer remains an enigma, mostly because we don't know how much of a role he's played in this team's personnel decisions.  With that in mind, if a HC with a winning record shows interest in coaching the Panthers, I wouldn't hesitate to kick Fitterer to the curb (if that's what's required to seal the deal).

I guess I’m in the minority here,  it I like what fitt has done so far.

I haven’t agreed with all his decisions. The two main disagreements I had was picking up Darnold’s option and turning down the Burns trade. Jury’s still out on the latter, but I probably would have pulled the trigger. Still, I get why he wanted to keep a young pass rushing specialist as a core piece.

I think his drafts have been pretty solid. No way I pick fields over Horn. Shut down corner is tremendously important these days. Fields is a fantasy standout due to his running, but he’s 5-20 with 21 interceptions and 28 fumbles in less than 2 seasons. He may get better, but he would not have been developed by rhule and would have been a wasted pick.

Alright cool.  Based on what you just described burns as, do you think he is worth more then 2 firsts and a second?

To be fair he did have the best talent evaluator in football giving him advice.  So there's that.

I remember distinctly seeing this board rail on anyone who mentioned McCarthy as a ppssibly head coaching candidate.  If anyone even suggested we should consider interviewing him it was drowned out with how they should get Rhule because he was the hot name.

This board = Dumbasses.

This is where I'm glad you're not the GM.

All the picks was a bit much, it was an exaggeration. However, all you guys keep making this more difficult than it needs to be. Until the QB situation is fixed, we're going nooooowhere.

It's the KISS principle - keep it simple stupid.

Fix the QB situation first and the rest will fall into place.

I am of the camp that it's completely impossible to determine what percentage of these moves he was responsible for or what percentage input he had. I know that contractually he was Rhule’s assistant GM.

I have a healthy dose of skepticism about Fitterer but from Oct. 11 onward all moves are 100% his. He doesn't have a GM boss, he is now the GM. So no Rhule to hide behind or share credit with. He is the man.

So I say let him have this offseason to see what it looks like. There is ample time to break out the pitchforks and torches.

Fair take.

Currently Im 50/50 on finessererer. I do believe Rhule had full control and for a few moves allowed finnesererer full control. Just guessing about which, i feel the QBs ones fall on Rhule.

Plus after herniay gave the fan-base hernias, it shouldnt be asking much for the next GM to be/do better. I think most have a unfair expectation for what is a NFL GM is. example; drafting-wise, what equals a good-to-great draft class....believe it or not its just 2 starters and one super-sub/STer. Free ageny- its even a wiiiider net that must be thrown with "hit" rate being something like 20%. It feels to me most fans think a NFL GM must draft and any signed free agents the "hit" rate needs to be nearly 100%.....and they non-stop harp on "one" failed pick or FA.

In closing- I do also feel Rhule while still in full control, heavily leaned on Finessererererer come draft time duties. Results form the last two combined classes have been above average returns and most of it was with Rhule screwing up the development of many of them. ie Christ, TMJ, Franklin, Tremble, etc.

I got no strong opinion on keeping him(feels like tepper 100% will) or if it was a total rebuild with a new GM/scouts.

Haha, so true.  Marty Hurney the genius.  Should've included this gem in my reasons Tepper should leave the crucial decisions to others with a proven track record of winning at the NFL level.

I didnt want Rhule(tired to bump those threads, but anything over 2 years cannot......) nor did I want fat mike........ In alllllllllllll my brilliant thinking and looking over alllllll the potential coaches, I came to the decision that Josh McDaniels was the best choice....

I'm not convinced Stroud fixes anything.

If he fell to us, okay. Trading extra picks for him? That's a no.

People lament us not being bold, but we have been. Hell, we were extremely bold a few years back. Specifically, when we hired a college coach, gave him a massive contract and full roster control.

And now we're here...again.

I don't really give a sh-t about "bold". I want smart.

Probiotics: These gut-friendly bacteria can contribute to digestive health, which can indirectly impact weight management. Guarana Seed: A natural source of caffeine, guarana can provide an energy boost but may also cause jitters in some users. Scientific Scrutiny: Does the Science Back Up Fitspresso's Claims? While some of the ingredients in Fitspresso have shown promise in weight management research, the evidence for Fitspresso itself is limited. Here's a closer look: Metabolism Boost: Green tea extract does have some thermogenic properties, meaning it can increase body heat production and slightly elevate metabolism. However, the effect is likely to be modest. Fat Burning: There's no magic bullet for effortless fat burning. Significant weight loss requires a combination of healthy eating, regular exercise, and a sustainable calorie deficit.
