We need to go all in on Lamar Jackson...

If a team is willing to part ways with a franchise QB in his prime, red flags need to be flying. If Lamar was a FA, I'd be all about it. But he's not. You're gonna have to trade a king's ransom plus give up a HUGE contract. How is that working out for the two teams that did that this past off-season? One is drafting in the top 5 and the other is drafting just a couple of spots behind us. They both suck and they have limited assets to improve due to the deals they made to get their QBs.

Pretty much...

Plus you've always got to ask, if that guy is really that good, why isn't he winning a Super Bowl with his current team? Sure as hell not like the Ravens are a bad organization.

This is basically another magic unicorn hunt where some fan says "Hey if we just get this one guy we're gonna win the next five Super Bowls!!!"

Yeeeeah...no 🙄

What they really need to do is put in the work, build the roster the right way, draft and develop the quarterback, etc along with, to quote the immortal Lightning McQueen, "an insane amount of luck" for it to all come together...if it ever does. There are, as the saying goes, no guarantees.

It might not sound as exciting as swinging for the fences with some ridiculous trade offer, but that's how it works. Some people try taking pills to lose weight rather than doing the hard work of diet and exercise. This type of suggestion is pretty much the same mentality.

And hell, Buffalo has "that guy", plus an established coach, a strong roster plus inspiration from an injured teammate this season, and they didn't make it to the Super Bowl either.

In real life, winning championships is hard.

(and there aren't any cheat codes) 😐

Lamar is smaller than Cam and we see the toll Cam took on his body running the way he did. Lamar is gonna break down even further going forward

While it’s mentioned a lot on here I don’t think running is what broke down Cam. All the hits in the pocket are really what did it. TJ Watt’s hit and trying to tackle a defender are his two major ones.

Cam didn’t lose the element, though. His shoulder doomed him.

I guess that's fair.  It's the same concept. Cams body gave out from the punishment his style of play put him through.  If you're a dual threat you're more likely to get hurt and less likely to be a great player past the age of 30. That skill set is awesome but only if you draft the guy and win a super bowl within 10 years. Not a winning formula to trade for a dual threat qb who's 26 and hasn't been able to stay healthy the last two seasons.  ESPECIALLY when he wants a full guaranteed deal

Not happening. Look at what Reich has said he wants….A QB who will win from the pocket but be able to move. That isn’t Lamar and wasn’t Cam. Stroud, Young? Yes. Lamar? No. There are two, possibly three generational QBs in this draft. Position the team to get one of them.

Why do some of you still refuse to acknowledge that Lamar can be an adept pocket passer. He has a good passer rating. Not solid, good! Furthermore, Reich specifically mentioned that you need a guy who will be able to throw it a few times a game--he mentioned "10" as an example. He also mentioned that generally the preference is to run first, and pass for chunk plays down the field. And last, but not least, is the fact that he intimated that you need a guy who can get outside the pocket as well as pass from the pocket.  Lamar would be excellent in that type of system.

Lamar has let the Ravens down by being injured come playoff time the last 2 years. His impact on the field is questionable whether he's even on the level of top tier guys like Mahomes and Allen. And not only will we be making him the highest paid QB in the league, we'd be giving the Ravens multiple first round picks on top of that. Trying to trade for Lamar is just a flat out terrible idea. We need a legit QB on a rookie deal.

What evidence or examples do you have on the bold? You can’t use Cam as evidence. So, you have Lamar and ? Also, why can’t Lamar just simply throw more if his ability to use his legs disappear? He’s an accurate QB, so I don’t see the problem.

Cams shoulder gave out, and that was due to a tackle he tried to make after an interception. Watt put an end to that shoulder ever becoming fully healthy with a hit in the pocket. Cam did have a lisfranc injury, but that fully healed. When he came back to us, and played with New England, he was still collecting rushing TDs and yards with ease.

So, you have none and now you’re getting upset because I had some questions about your Lamar assertion. There are some injuries out there, I’ve looked them up, but most of these injuries to dual threat QBs are in the pocket and rarely outside of it. The injuries they get happen to all QBs.

So, this age of 30 threshold you’ve placed on dual threat QBs like Lamar. So, again, why can’t he simply throw more when his use of legs deteriorate? He is an accurate QB after all, completing around 63/64% of his passes.

I'm not upset. It is just common sense that if you Subject yourself to more hits you're more likely to get injured (like he has been). They also have been bottom third in the league in pass attempts for just about all of his career. He has also proven he is not a good enough passer to beat good teams in the playoffs.  I'm fine with a dual threat guy but not at 26, with  guaranteed money,  been hurt the last two years and averages 210 yards a game passing.

And you want someone who has been playing a certain style of qb their whole life just to change and become strictly a pocket passer it doesn't make sense.  Maybe Russell Westbrook should become a spot up shooter now that his athletism is no longer an advantage

Look at his history. He only averages around 190yds a game in the air.

The odds of him suddenly becoming a 300yd game guy are long.

Secondly where are his average completions? If memory serves and I very well could be wrong most of his completions are short.

The guy just hasn't seemed to get better through the air the last few years.

Again like everyone said if he's so great why would the Ravens let him go?

So is every running QB going to be compared to Cam now?

Nobody was saying running QB's would be injury prone until Cam came along. Now every QB that takes hits won't have a long career. Now guys like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are getting hit with the Cam Newton tag because they run the ball. Cam would still be playing if not for a shoulder injury. Any player could have got that injury. Those

Nobody said this about Michael Vick or Randall Cunningham.

    • Despite their differences, QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online +1-844-476-5438 also have plenty of overlap. Here’s a look at how these two QuickBooks accounting software options stack up. Essential core functions There are two versions of QuickBooks Desktop (Premier Plus and Enterprise) and four versions of QuickBooks Online (Simple Start, Essentials, Plus and Advanced).  All versions of QuickBooks +1-844-476-5438 offer similar essential functions, including the following: Import and organize transactions from bank and credit card accounts (PayPal and Square integration on Online only) Invoice creation Estimate and quote creation Accept payment from an embedded invoice link (through QuickBooks Business Network on Online only) See the status of invoices in real time Categorize business expenses for tax purposes Create reports (more reports on Desktop Enterprise and most Online versions) Capture receipts via OCR with expense category matching Charge and track sales tax (sync with Amazon, eBay and Shopify on Online only via third party apps or via add-on for Desktop Enterprise) 1099 contractor management  Inventory management (more inventory features for Desktop Enterprise and Excel imports/marketplace syncs via third-party add for Online editions) Time tracking (sync with QuickBooks Time Elite via add-on for desktop versions) Both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online +1-844-476-5438 are especially well regarded for the following capabilities: Tax compliance Cash flow and expense tracking Business budgeting Ability to accept online payments General reporting features Multiple tiers Both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks +1-844-476-5438 Online offer multiple service tiers that cater to different business needs, such as the number of employees who need to access the software. We’ll go into more detail on this later. QuickBooks Desktop vs. Online: The differences Here are some of the key differences between QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. Features The main areas of difference between QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online lie in the accounting software features offered. The online version has several useful components that QuickBooks Desktop doesn’t. Here are some of the features exclusive to QuickBooks Online: Attach documents, images, signatures and more to individual transactions from both mobile and desktop devices Audit logging for tracking actions and changes over time Automatic nightly synchronization of bank transactions Auto-add banking rules Customize banking rules based on dollar value, percentage, class and location Journal entries with multiple accounts receivable and accounts payable (AR/AP) lines Turn management reports into presentations Scheduling and sending of future transactions with delayed credits and charges Support for multiple budgets during a fiscal year Transaction scheduling and dispatch automation Unlimited time tracking and reports-only users Conversely, many classic QuickBooks Desktop tools can’t be found in the online version. These Desktop-only tools fit neatly into five categories. Accounting: Ability to back up, restore and condense data and company files Correct unapplied credits and payments QuickBooks Statement Writer (add-on package for GAAP compliance) Client data reviewing Ability to post to extra AR/AP accounts Undeposited fund management Correction of sales taxes Create accounts for a specific time period Reporting: Industry-specific reporting options Header and footer customization on reports Support for multiple vendor ship-to addresses Business planners, balance sheets and forecasting by class Data entry: Batch invoices, transactions and timesheets Rate-level billing Automated Clearing House payments to vendors Inventory: Ability to build manufacturing features and assemblies Inventory reordering Partial receipt against purchase orders Value inventory using the average cost Management of sales orders and invoice tracking, unit measures and availability to promise Job costing: Ability to charge orders and change/markup estimate columns Payroll and labor cost calculation Reports for job costing estimates and actual amounts If you’re a QuickBooks Online user who wants these Desktop features, many third-party apps offer them for an extra charge.  Hosting QuickBooks Desktop is hosted locally, while QuickBooks Online is hosted in the cloud.  This means that QuickBooks Desktop users are limited to one hosting provider — the computer on which the software is installed — or a handful of licensed computers. QuickBooks Online can be accessed from any internet-connected device, including a mobile device with the QuickBooks app installed, after you enter a valid username and password. Because QuickBooks Online is cloud-based, it is a great option for those who need QuickBooks access while not in the office. QuickBooks Desktop is often limited to the number of installations included in your chosen service tier, so you may not be able to access the service if you can’t access the specific device with the software installed. One-time vs. monthly purchases Before the launch of QuickBooks Desktop 2022, the QuickBook products were available as a one-time purchase. Now, Premier Plus and Enterprise packages are available on a subscription-basis only. QuickBooks Online, on the other hand, is a monthly subscription. How much you’ll pay for each service depends on the service tier you buy. QuickBooks Desktop vs. Online: Service tiers and pricing You can choose from two QuickBooks Desktop tiers and five QuickBooks Online tiers.  QuickBooks Desktop service tiers and pricing QuickBooks Desktop will be discontinued on May 31, 2023. After that date, you won’t be able to access QuickBooks add-on services like Online Banking, Online Backup, Live Support and QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Services from any version of the desktop software.
