Staley as a coach fires me up as far as his knowledge base and history in the league. But I don’t really like all the cussing and being in dudes faces. I like doing that with the DC in team periods, but not with players.

That's not my style either, but I had a Pee Wee coach who did that.

You don't necessarily want to be that way all the time, but most of these guys have experienced it before....a lot.

Not a fan of the profanity either but this team has a bad habit of playing soft at times and needs some in-your-face coaching and a kick in its complacency to build toughness we need.

To be fair, those clips are edited together from Hard Knocks so you can't really say he's constantly like that.

True. Reminds me of the Gregg Williams stuff. Hope he picks and chooses it. I could see Hubbard just crying all the time.

    • It's not sustainable,  although he deserve credit for the win also, as he made clutch plays as he does with every win we have.
    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
