 The Chiefs won the Super Bowl, but nobody had a better NFL postseason than Fox’s top broadcast team of Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen.

In their first season as Fox’s “A” crew, replacing Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, who both left for ESPN last year, Burkhardt and Olsen flew under the radar for most of the regular season. But with stand-alone games and monster viewership in the postseason, many fans took notice of how well the duo work together, with Olsen especially emerging as a fan favorite for his calm manner and smart analysis.

There’s no spotlight, however, like the Super Bowl spotlight. And Burkhardt and Olsen showed that they were more than ready for it.

Olsen has risen rapidly as a star in the booth.  Fox would be foolish to replace him for Brady but I guess there is a contract.  Olsen has one more year before Brady comes aboard. Hoping for Greg's sake, Brady asks to have another role.  Booting Greg out would be a foolish move on his part.  Greg would be a very tough act to follow.

I just don’t see Brady being that good. He’s really smart about the game, but he’s a bit of a slow talker.

Also, most casual female fans I know don’t care for him anymore after his un-retirement/divorce.

Maybe CBS will boot Romo and pickup Greg.

Sounds like CBS doesnt have an out on the Romo contract until 2024.... GO might have to take a show host role until something opens up.  ESPN is the only network that needs new talent and arent stuck with ridic contracts.

 

note: TB12 doesnt join Fox until 2024... so CBS could technically land GO in two years.

Noone wants to work for ESPN. They are a dieing network with dwindling viewers.  I have all their channels blocked out so I don't have to skip over them all the time. They've become irrelevant.

Yea...he is supposed to be working with Kevin as their #1 team.

He has a contract that says he will be on the #1 team...he would have to request a change, just like he did with delaying a year (so he could practice because I am sure he is intimidated by Greg).  Maybe he will decide that he wants to be on a desk instead of the booth.  Fox needs to revamp their desk for sure. It would be a smart move to try and  design some kind of attractive role for him.  I bet they are regretting that contract.

      Yes. I went to those games instead of selling In 2018, it was hot  as hell and the Panthers had some ‘entertainment on the side of the stadium, like a street fair…I have never seen so many seriously obese people, men and women, in cowboy leggings and shirts   I swear, it was traumatic  I said to my friend with me ‘dear god, Cam. In the name of all that is holy, please win  this home game, if you never win another one, to shut these people up.   I stayed in a hotel sat and Sunday near stadium. Sweet Jesus  obnoxious …of course,when they lose,, there isn’t one sign of cowboys anything   worst fans ever,  they will be in Charlotte in force because even at the escalated price in Charlotte, , it was still cheaper than attending in Jerry ville

      Very true about Pennington but I don’t think anyone traded a haul to move up in the draft to get him, that’s what gets me about young. I mean essentially we gave up cmc and moore, our two best offensive players, one of which is arguably one of the best in the league. Gave them up for a guy who hasn’t shown any reason for us to give up the haul to get him. It’s year three and we are seeing the same mistakes he was making year one game one.
