his accuracy — orlack thereof — is borderline untenable at this point.”

that’s why I don’t understand why people are so high on Levis. Accuracy is kind of important and hard to improve. And I don’t mean “completion %”, that’s fake accuracy. Levis doesn’t have good placement and throws it all over the place sometimes. But hey, hopefully one of those top few teams feels otherwise and drafts Levis high. “Tools” don’t take you very far if you don’t know how to use them.

depends on how the team wants to develop them.  I am sure each staff probably has a different plan as each kid is unique.  I wouldnt throw any of them into the fire from the jump

Thinking about it from a team-building view, I think a very good strategy would consist of:

1) Bring in a rookie QB and develop for a year

2) Sign a bridge free agent to a 2-3 year contract

Assuming great coaching and solid roster, a free agent QB could significantly boost their market value in a one-year showcase year. You then trade that QB for draft compensation and you start that second-year QB. You then get three years of a rookie contract plus the one-year extension, which is huge for salary cap purposes.

The WR class this year is really weak and we can fill the DE in free agency.
If we are gonna take a risk on a player and not move up then it makes more sense to get Richardson at 9.

No, it doesn't. Taking Richardson with so little experience and rough performance based purely on speculated potential is well, just a bad idea.

NFL SCOUTING REPORT: SUMMARY

Hooker is a quality prospect who has faced adversity during his college career but now seems in an ideal place to take the next step and really get the attention of NFL scouts. He possesses excellent athletic talent, has a strong arm, huge hands, and has the power to make all the requisite throws at the next level, he also is a decent runner who is always a threat on the move. However, Hooker is still a little raw as a player and needs to demonstrate he can become a more consistently nuanced player.

Hooker was putting up good numbers prior to his ACL injury and finished the season with an impressive 123.9 NFL QB rating. Was outstanding in a 5 TD performance against Alabama although ran into a brick wall a few weeks later against Georgia.

We expect Hooker to be a very solid draft prospect assuming he recovers from his torn ACL and has all the skills to become an eventual starter in the pros so long as he isn't rushed into action too soon.

A 3rd round QB who doesn’t look ready? We have one of those already.

But we didn't use a top ten pick to get him.

This notion that you can just take a guy with good physical characteristics and teach him how to play quarterback at the pro level has blown up in more than one team's faces.

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
