I wish I could say that's unbelievable but it's actually extremely believable. And utterly fuging absurd.

Oops, I was wrong.

Owners have to write off the purchase price of their teams over the course of 15 years rather than 10.

We simply must do more to end the suffering of billionaires!

No one should want Bezos to be an NFL owner.  There is enough monopolization in the US as is.  He already had the rights this past season to feature Thursday night games.  I imagine if he got a spot of ownership, he would desire to lock up more of the NFL inside his clutches.  The self declared king of the NFL.

Do you not know the amount of companies this man own?  Of course this conversation would get into the Tinderbox area, so I won't derail the thread.  That said, if he gets his hands on an NFL team, you better believe he will try to lockdown the NFL market hand over fist.  Get ready to watch Panthers games on Amazon every other Sunday.

Correct me if I'm wrong but won't this make Ron the only coach to have gone through an owner selling the team and finishing with a new owner, Twice now?? This is wild man.

I said before hes the one person that could write one hell of a book. just a few- NFL player, 85 bears, draft into spot where he wasnt need while he was a college stud, paid dues up coach ranks, great DC, turn down 9 times for HC, 9.7 years at Charlotte, SB 50, brother cancer, Keep pounding, military, always gave goat Bill the toughest games, dave fired within 2 weeks of TC and herniay back......, fired and gos to the circus show that is wft, the name of NFL, another odd owner and he had to answer questions as the face of each team, etc etc

    • Wow I can’t believe the panthers tried to trade up, failed, but still got the guy they wanted to trade up for. I wonder if anyone else has ever said that next you’ll tell me they had Hunter and Brazzell graded as first rounders.
    • I don’t think people are saying that picking up the option is a call for the pitchforks. We would have had to do things differently a couple of years back to make declining the option a valid move. We didn’t and here we are. People largely accept that. The pattern it adheres to, reinforces the nausea we feel when the idea of an extension, and at top of the market no less, comes up.  One that he hasn’t shown he deserves.   Same as he did not deserve to be drafted 1.1. Look at Pavia and what really is the difference? Bryce is a nice guy and Pavia is an asshole lol. They are both no margin for error non day one talents. One went undrafted.  Probably should have been drafted day three anyway. The other was way over drafted.
    • We hate losing. I don't know Bryce to hate him. His play as a QB, I absolutely hate. It's just not good enough. If there were a lottery held to select the order and all 32 starting QBs could be drafted as the starting QB for whatever team selected them, how long do you think it would be before Bryce's name was called? Top 10, top 20, bottom 8? Think about it.  For me, having never seen back to back games with franchise QB level performance in 3 years tells me what I need to know. We still need to be looking for our solution at QB.
