One can only hope.  I wish they would magically find a way the flip Ian Thomas for a draft pick. I know, but it's my world and I make the rules.

Nah, we are on the hook for that one.  The best result is designate Ian a June 1 cut.  In that scenario, we roughly break even this this year, but save cap space in 2024.

I don’t think we release Elflein until we ink a deal with the White Rhino.

Even then, we have very little IOL depth, especially considering the injuries to Corbett and Christensen.

If we re-sign Bozeamn, we are looking strictly at depth and that can be had cheap.  Mays can fill in at RG until Corbett returns.

Maybe Campen feels good about Mays. I think it’s iffy that he’d be better than Elf to start next season.

We should know by March 19th when Elflein is due a $1.26mil roster bonus. In any event, I think he’d have some trade value so I wouldn’t release him. The acquiring team would be getting a low end starting caliber center for ~$4.2mil. If Daley pulled a 5th round pick, I’d think we could do better for Elf.

    • I did not want to start or even think about *if* BY reverts back to pre-non last 9 games.   There is a lane in which Panthers are looking QB after this season, I feel its higher than most will realize. I mean....not kidding... has any team ever traded up to 1st overall twice in the teams history? I don't even want to think within 3 years, just foresee Tepper squeezing Dans and Brandts sacs to the point were they are forced to trade up for a another savior.....   The kicker is I feel this way with BY playing good-great..... I think there with be non-fixable problems for contract negotiations between BY&reps vs Panthers org on the whole. You can not pay 50+ million per over few years with 70% guarantees for 3,303 yards 15 TDs and 9 INTs......Cursed I tell you....
    • It's not surprising, but it's still surprising that many of these guys don't manage their money in such a way that provides them and their families a better lifestyle than most for the rest of their lives without even working a nine-to-five. I can't imagine making over a 100 mil for a decade and ultimately ruminating about supporting my family due to financial issues.
    • That why i mentioned the KC dynasty. Those three different playoff loses were not Allens fault, in fact 1-2 plays and Bills win. KC just have better players and better coaches and more luck.  Defense-wise, Bills have been trying to crack the Reid-Halhomes magic. Its near impossible with rules and KC home field advantage. Spags has started to force the league in naming him the best DC in NFL history. I agree if you take away Bill bielacheat.... Add in Andy Reid the best QB coach and brilliant play designer/play-caller, I mean that's too much for one QB to over-come on his own.  Just trolling or not, bad is bad scot. Allen is legit as any one QB has ever been.
