How are you not banned and on to another alias?

At this point it may be the best thing for all of us.

Somebody sent me a DM about the different cliques on this sub. Im starting to see it. It's getting uncomfortable to come to this sub and have the same 3 dudes try to gang up on me because of QB they don't like. It's getting tiresome and frustrating. This board needs to fix this issue.

Mods you can ban me if you like no hard feelings. Im just not going to stop voicing my opinion because 3 people said I shouldn't. This is supposed to be a board where everybody can have an opinion right or wrong.

My prediction is that the Texans will trade up one spot to #1 to secure Bryce Young

Bears at #2 will look to trade out again but settle on Jalen Carter or Will Anderson

Panthers trade up with Cards at take CJ Stroud who is perfect fit for Reich’s scheme

This would be ideal, but I don't see the Colts sitting at 4 in that scenario. The Bears would move back to 4 for less than average value if they know the first 3 picks are QB's. They can still take the best D guy on their board and add at least a high 2nd rounder this year plus whatever additional picks

After listening to King talk to Eisen (and reading the article in the OP) I am fairly confident the Panthers are the team that has offered three 1st round picks. It's just a matter of the Bears accepting the deal.

  • The compensation mentioned (three 1sts) is right around the LV, ATL, CAR block
  • King later mentions that Poles wants a blue chip player but they only have 6-8 on the board (somehow that just outside the range of pick #9) 🤔

"Poles wants to be sure he gets a “blue player,” his term for a premier first-rounder—and there may be only six or eight of those when the Bears end up setting their board."

  • Only one of IND, LV, ATL are involved in trade up talks since King mentioned Poles only spoke with 3 teams (in the article) and one of them was farther down [than Carolina] per his conversation with Eisen (around the 2:50 mark of the video).
  • I don't think LV is heavily involved because Poles mentioned Derek Carr (in the article) as an alternative option for some teams. Then again this quote could specifically be about the Panthers.

"But then there’s teams that want some certainty because, ‘If I need a quarterback bad, should I do that now when some of these guys, like Derek Carr, are out there?’"

  • I don't think ATL is involved because the timing doesn't make sense (Coach in his 3rd year needs to win) and there isn't any smoke.
  • I think the teams interested in moving to pick #1 are IND, CAR, and TEN/WAS

If Poles already has that offer why wait? I think they don't want to drop down to pick #9 and are waiting for IND to up their offer knowing neither IND or CAR will go the veteran route again. Both teams telegraphed this with their lukewarm pursuit of Derek Carr (and Lamar Jackson).

I would not give 3 first and a starter.

Don’t worry about it. You do you! Remember don’t take this too seriously. We are just a bunch of fans that have different opinions. The bantering and arguing is just part of it. If someone is really annoying you, just put them on ignore like @WarPanthers89said.

    • When they measure velocity they base it on an average of 3 throws, I think, could be 5. Each qb decides how he throws it. It's not taken from passes in a game. So basing on an "eye test" takes out bias. It's measured by a radar gun in a controlled environment.
    • I think the long term is when this stuff pays off. You have to set it all up and get all the big dogs on the same page.  So if you have the right guy set it up, assigning all the values, you are ahead of the game and he seems to be the top guy. Figures Tepper would be attracted to having the Top analytics guy. Okay with me I guess. If they get to the point where I am mad they didn’t kick or go for it, it means they are doing okay. Cause I haven’t thought that mattered much for several years.
    • Velocity MPH. Okay, that’s a number in isolation. what if CJ has a nice 85% effort motion that does what he is looking for? And Young has to step into things to get even 2 mph behind him?  I don’t KNOW that about either it is just an example of numbers don’t always tell all, but when I look at Young throw it reminds me of someone like Fran Tarkenton. A throwback non athletic weak armed scrambler for those of you who don’t remember. Had a great career in the old smaller slower but much meaner NFL. Would not today, IMO.  I think the arm strength questions, are plenty fair. And the eyeball test, it does mean something. Who would take Bryce Young over CJ Stroud or Richardson based on his arm? It is obvious to the naked eye where they stack up.
