And this is why we should be all over Hopkins. His contract is not going to hurt us. Elite players get paid. Just give him a fair 3 year deal.

Hopkins/Theilen for a rookie QB you couldn't ask for much better.

Yep it seems so simple doesn’t it

and compete with ASB and Jamo?  come here and be a WR1 or go there and be a WR3? if he goes there hes dumb as rocks and they can have him

Dam u make a good point that’s actually a really silly move. If it’s betting in yourself your targets could be crazy low. ASB is only going up he needs more targets based off how productive he is and Jamo kid from banana is special he’s just getting started coming off that injury. Yup we’re definitely a better option to bet on yourself with but you have to be worried a rookie qb might not be able to get it done. So he has a couple things to weigh in each situation.

For those wondering why is it taking so long for DJ Chark to sign, here is my thinking.  The hold up might be he's looking for significant money.  If he were to come here, this will be his third team and third contract.  He is not getting any younger.  So along with money, he's probably looking for a relatively long term deal, possibly four years.  Most of us are looking at Chark and want him to sign something more like a "prove it" deal.  Something that is short term.  Ultimately, if he has to do another prove it deal, or something that is basically a one year deal, he may be weighing his options in coming here or staying in Detroit.

I just looked over the lions WR and by the looks of it DJ Chark would not be starting. Brown and 1st round(whom they traded up for) WR form bama Williams is sitting there....

Chark, Brother...... you will not get the snaps you need to "re-enter" FA there.... Here you have the best shot to be the #1 targeted WR for most of the season.......sign the 3yr deal and if you go off, im sure fitts will reward your play.....

Yeah Shi is more quick/slot and TMJ is pretty fast, but I don't see him blowing the top off a defense or anything.  He just had a great catch radius in college.

4.38 at pro day (just like Ja'Marr). I think we all need to remember why we drafted Marshall. It's true that questions abound, but if he can't take the step this season, he's probably going to be JAG that's good enough to be in the league, but one that never meets his potential.

Damn much faster than I thought. He doesn’t seem to play at that speed, but that just me with my inexperienced fan eyes talking.

Joke person said panthers had injury concerns about Charks history during his visit and chose to sign adam....... if you believe joe, this is over.

Also noted the panthers are open to sign other WRs for the "right price".

That would be totally opposite of what Fitte just said yesterday that nothing was final we might be signing him but I’m not taking that logic because he’s been such a straight shooter I’d think he’d say we’re moving on. We’ll see if/when he signs somewhere else until it seems like he’s weighing his options and taking his time doing it.

    • I'm not a Bryce hater and I would 100% move on.  Especially looking at how the upcoming qb draft looks on paper.  Hopefully he continues to improve but if in 3 seasons you're still chasing average season numbers then he's not going to be the guy.  You've just got to keep taking swings until you hit.  Average qbs without any elite physical traits cant get it done anymore.  So this year Hopefully he continues to develop and is above average statistically.
    • Meltdowns???? He was pulled by Canales because he wasn't executing the game plan after 2 games into the season so he could watch Dalton execute the offense and show Bryce the windows available in the NFL, how to push the ball down the field and how to step up and move around when blitzed. When Young came back 5 games later he clearly watched and improved. Enough he was named the future starter. He doesn't have a history of  meltdowns nor is there any reason to assume he will have one. From what I have read he is mentally strong and emotional stable. He may have bad games down the road, everyone does. But this is all a learning experience for him and so far he seems to be making progress. I can understand being hesitant on anything Panthers, but Young has surprisingly been able to gain his confidence after a disastrous start. You aren't alone in being cautious but I think he is the future. I thought he was too small and too short to succeed in the NFL. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised last year and am optimistic about the offense for the first time since Wilks and Dalton were decent.
    • The Rams wanted to trade up for Williams who they ended up within the end. They even told him that when they called him to let him know he is the pick. The other teams are only an assumption. Like the Cowboys, who took a guard. The truth is the team wanted to trade down first and foremost but couldn't get an offer the were happy with. They took McMillan because they felt he was bpa at 8 plain and simple.
