Lol...its a message board...yes it's my opinion. And in the end if they do it, it will be too costly. The only value for us is to trade back.At this point doing that and taking AR would be a better value. Then at least we would have picks to improve the overall team and AR will eventually be a good TE.

its over dawg. pick what qb you want at 1 and hope they pick them. the journeymen days are over

Honestly, it seems pretty obvious that Young bulked (fattened) up to step on the scale at 200+ at the Combine and that's probably why he lived in that hoody. Dude was probably rocking a gut and some man titties. Probably got up to close to 200 then tanked up with water to make sure he came in comfortably over. Then he slimmed back down for his pro day. If he was still 200+ he would've happily hopped back in a scale to prove it.

Yep and people can say that his size is no big deal all they want, but he thought it was a big enough deal to try to mislead teams on it to a degree if not teams definitely the media.

Not weighing in again today definitely shows that he manipulated his weight for the Combine and that his actual playing weight is less (possibly significantly less) than that 204 figure.

He could've answered a LOT of those size speculations by hopping on the scale again today at 200+ and then going out there and performing well. That he didn't tells me he's nowhere near 204 right now.

They make alll sorts of devices that are able to weigh people. If anyone has been to the doctors office they can get your weight by sitting on the chair.

Panthers hold a meeting step up a few of these walk-on, stand-on, or sit-on devices in the location and BOOM you figure out youngs 177 weight...

Why not ask him to get on a scale and see his reaction, if the spy way isnt your way.....

this whole deal is silly.

Before I spend the #1 pick that I've mortgaged the future of the franchise for I'm finding out how much this dude weighs. Even if I just flat out had to tell the kid at our meeting that if he wants to be the potential #1 overall pick he better step his ass on that scale. 😂

since he wants to play games.... Id even have the scale rigged to show 15% below the real number and see how young reacts.

"Daaannnng, Mr. Young its saying 163, W-o-W.."

    • Spoiler alert - he has none of those. Picture a less athletic Anthony Richardson with a weaker arm - that is what he is.
    • Funny enough, those good games Rico had were when Canales finally put BC at RG. Once BC got hurt, our run game turned to crap again (outside of the GB outlier game)
    • When I say elite, I am talking Bowers and Tony Gonzalez type can't miss prospects. The ones that are the complete package (good athleticism, good blocking, knows how to position body for contested catches, able to run a complete route tree). I also wasn't big on Warren last year (although he at least had the college production) and wasn't sure on Loveland (didn't do enough research on him but was impressed with his route running). I just think TE is a luxury pick for us with how many positions we have that are void of talent. Now, if Sadiq is the best player (by a good margin) our front office thinks is available at 19, then I understand taking him. My worries with Sadiq is if he has to be used like a Pitts, Engram, etc. type TE where they get lined up in the slot because they can't block LBs or Dlinemen. And if that is what happens, it's pretty much like drafting an athletic tall receiver that isn't capable of running a complete route tree. And for how many freaks do we have... you do realize we drafted bum ass XL because we thought he was an athletic freak. Turns out that athleticism doesn't mean crap when you are dumb as rocks, can't run routes, and can't catch the ball...  I feel like we have been drafting guys that are displaying elite athleticism at the combine over college production (and I think that has shown why a lot of our drafts prior to last year have sucked)
