I just said in another thread.  If you draft him you go with him this season. Maybe not week one or two but by our bye week he should be under center.  We have Mike Sanders a good running back with great hands.  A CMC type of RB.  We have H. Hurst a good receiving TE.  A solid offensive line. DJ Chark a take the top off receiver and one of the best route runners in the NFL in Thielen.

From his interviews at the combine he showed great understanding of being a QB. Good QB IQ.

As Dan O said, to me, this indicates he can be brought along slowly and let the talent around him be the stars.  He doesn't have to carry the team.

Draft Him, Start Him

He's my darkhorse candidate.

I normally think Dan O sucks and I can’t stand to listen to him (he did say Kyle Allen was the future) but the only reason I give him a listen now, is because he was almost hired by Reich to coach on this team. Maybe he has some insider info, maybe when he was interviewed or talked to, he got an idea of what the team was looking for? Regardless, right when we traded up, he immediately thought it was for AR, he’s been hinting at this for some time.

I still don’t think we will draft him, although I want us to, ultimately I am ok with all three…in case anyone wanted to know lol.

This kinda terrifies me. For a guy who was a former QB himself, it seems like Orlovsky is pretty much always wrong about QB prospects.

Has anyone actually talked to any Florida fans about him? I feel like it’s pretty telling that the mass majority of them think he was hot garbage.

Are we really buying that he’s in consideration?

I saw a clip on youtube about him.  One game he was a Heisman trophy candidate the next they didn't want him to throw.

He needs work, no doubt but we definitely have the coaching staff to handle him and a good offensive group to help him.  He doesn't have to carry the team.

Dan can be hit or miss. Generally he is pretty good about pro QB rankings - but I do remember saying Sam Darnold was a better version of Joe Burrow a couple of years ago.

But to his credit I think he was high on Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts too.

I could see it at pick 9. But #1 overall? He’s a much bigger gamble from what I’m seeing.

Counterpoint: they're Florida Gators fans.

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
