But the Texans just said they are open to trading out of #2.

Yes they did...it didnt say they will tho. Most teams consider trades if they are asked. If Bryce falls to them... they would have no reason to trade, which is why i said trading the pick before the draft would signal Bryce going first more than anything if they know something.

But trading out of two before the draft doesn't make any sense unless you KNOW the Panthers are taking Bryce.  You can always trade out of two at the draft.

If they thought there would be a chance Bryce would be there, they'd sit tight.

Exactly.

Why would the Texans be shopping 2 if they were taking Bryce there?

They arent shopping 2, teams have called them about what it would take to trade up and they are entertaining it. Comprehension is key my friend. Like i said, if they trade the pick before the draft then they most know for sure Bryce is going first. The point is they dont know what the panthers are going to do so if they trade it probably wont be till the draft. There is nothing leading about listening to offers.

They ARE sitting tight, have they made a trade yet are not? Jesus christ what is the confusion here?? Thats my point they dont know what the Panthers are gonna do so why are you assuming Bryce is going first?

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
