What could a trade down look like?

They can have #1 & 93.

We get #2, 33, 65. They're giving up about 317 points to make it worth our while.

FWIW, they would still have #12, 73, 104, 161, 188, 201, 203, 230, & 259

If they countered with an offer where they keep #33 but give us next year's first, would you take it?

No, we shouldn't give up the first pick, if it turns out bad , we will live in eternal regret

If we keep #1 and that pick turns out bad, we live in "eternal regret".

Making a bad pick is an equal problem no matter where it's made.

Yes, There's a really good chance that is another top 10 pick TBH.

It's going to be really boring sitting around until # 64 for the panthers to make their first pick next year.

Agree completely.

Hell, I'd ask for 12, 33 and next year's first.

I might not get 'em but I'd ask 😄

Start high see what happens

I think @Mr. Scot is already high if he's thinks they're giving up that haul for 1 spot. (he admits that he might not get them)

A trade is never happening with those picks on offer in that scenario. I don't think they see Stroud and Young as equals so the incentive to trade down would have to be something too good to refuse, like an extra 2nd/3rd rounder this year and a 1st next year. The Texans won't do that.

#1 pick has more trade value to it More than 2 and 12. We gave up a small handful of picks and our best WR. Two picks just isn't enough.

You're logic doesn't make sense because we started at #9 and they're starting at #2. They KNOW that they will get Young or Stroud and we were hoping that Levis would make it to #9.

See above 😄

Besides the "Young or nobody" stories, You've got the added drama of Caserio rumored to be on the way out.

(he denies it, but of course he would)

If that's true, he could definitely be looking to make a big splash on his way out the door.
