Sounds like Fitt knew who he wanted and Reich liked him but needed to go through the process and confirm what he thought originally.

yup. Fitt and them have been convicted of Bryce since day 1

If we pick anyone other than Young at #1 we will get graded terribly and become a laughing stock by the media pundits. None of the other QB's are close. At #9 I would've been fine with any, hell I would've been ok with getting Van Ness at #9 and then Hooker or McKee at #39 or the other 2nd that was traded.

Fitt just a few days ago said Young stood out above the other QB's. Cmon man don't let a random reddit insider try to convince you otherwise.

Trading up to the #1 pick for Levis doesn't even seem realistic. We would be crucified if we drafted him #1. Some things just don't make sense. This fake rumor is one of those things.

Did you read what I wrote?

Do you remember the Fitt quotes a few days ago when he put Bryce Young above the rest?

If Levis is the guy why didn't he single him out?

Cmon guys on reddit make up fake rumors all the time. More than likely someone is trolling Levis.

Get your #9 jerseys they coming in hot.

Chill dude lol, I still think it’s Young until something more concrete comes out that would make me think otherwise.

My guess is that Stroud sold them at his pro-day to cement a minimum 2-prospect viability at 1.  Young v Stroud, with many leaning CJ.  They were genuinely impressed.  I don't think Levis was far behind but the kid does has some big accuracy & mind-arm/hand-eye sync issues to work out.  Similar with AR but with other areas-for-improvement.

As they dug in, interviewed, spoke to their coaches, teammates, really studied the tape, it simply moved to Young.

Could be, I just think back to the combine though and you can hear Reich focusing on Young. I remember leaving that presser shocked how into Young he was. That’s why I started taking him more seriously and then he did it again in that presser before the pro days.

    • I did not want to start or even think about *if* BY reverts back to pre-non last 9 games.   There is a lane in which Panthers are looking QB after this season, I feel its higher than most will realize. I mean....not kidding... has any team ever traded up to 1st overall twice in the teams history? I don't even want to think within 3 years, just foresee Tepper squeezing Dans and Brandts sacs to the point were they are forced to trade up for a another savior.....   The kicker is I feel this way with BY playing good-great..... I think there with be non-fixable problems for contract negotiations between BY&reps vs Panthers org on the whole. You can not pay 50+ million per over few years with 70% guarantees for 3,303 yards 15 TDs and 9 INTs......Cursed I tell you....
    • It's not surprising, but it's still surprising that many of these guys don't manage their money in such a way that provides them and their families a better lifestyle than most for the rest of their lives without even working a nine-to-five. I can't imagine making over a 100 mil for a decade and ultimately ruminating about supporting my family due to financial issues.
    • That why i mentioned the KC dynasty. Those three different playoff loses were not Allens fault, in fact 1-2 plays and Bills win. KC just have better players and better coaches and more luck.  Defense-wise, Bills have been trying to crack the Reid-Halhomes magic. Its near impossible with rules and KC home field advantage. Spags has started to force the league in naming him the best DC in NFL history. I agree if you take away Bill bielacheat.... Add in Andy Reid the best QB coach and brilliant play designer/play-caller, I mean that's too much for one QB to over-come on his own.  Just trolling or not, bad is bad scot. Allen is legit as any one QB has ever been.
