I think there were still several naysayers after the rookie year… glad we got this one right

I think this is more of the fact that it's a new GM and coaching staff there than anything, not that they don't want him as much as they'd rather see him prove it to the new staff and then just sign him to a new deal.

He had a rough rookie year, but he was pretty good the last 2 years, I'm a little surprised they didn't pick it up, but I think it's just the new staff thing in the end.

I was always on team Brown but I feel like Simmons hasn't been used right his entire time in Arizona.

Yes I do.  I was firmly in the Brown camp and got some serious sh!t for it.  Even more so after a lackluster rookie season.  Alas, all is well and Brown is now showing why we drafted him in the top 10...yes a DT in the top 10.

Furthermore, I said some kid from Southern Illinois was going to be just as good, if not better than Simmons, and we should take him in the 2nd round.

Probably the best for Simmons. I was FIRMLY in the Brown camp but the quicker Simmons can get out of AZ the better off he'll be. See: Reddick, Hasson.

Didn’t he lose the starting role for a few weeks? I remember reading on the cardinals Reddit that Simmons was out of position too often.

I think the Cardinals just keep drafting defenders that they don't know how to utilize.

Used baker, watt, golden, Allen and Peterson very well… they were studs at their positions.
