Not that I was able to watch it but common sense would say this is just PR for the fans to feel close to the team for those who chose se to attend not for tv ratings!! I got my updates on Twitter.. sounded pretty good for a fan practice!

I get that but if you are gonna televise it you need to do a better job.

Same deal as last year. You would think a professionally run team would have a better setup and plan for how these things are run and shown on tv.

Same thing with the coverage at Back Together at Wofford. Quit watching after about 10 minutes

They just opened a Bojangles here in San Antonio for the first time and it’s a goddamn tragedy. They don’t even sell chicken. Just Supremes. And the don’t have Cajun pintos or mashed potatoes. And they want 54 dollars for 20 freaking Supremes. Absolutely shameful.

I was waiting to finally see this.  Bojangles got acquired by a private equity firm a few years ago and their CEO recently said something about "wanting to get out of the chicken business" and "into the experience business".  I had read an article somewhere that they were going to start opening restaurants without bone-in chicken.  So there we go.

It's so stupid.  Bojangles had a simple formula: you go into some dingy dimly lit restaurant with wood paneling everywhere and you sit at a rickety table and eat greasy fried chicken and biscuits and drink sweet tea and then you go home and irradiate your toilet.  I guess there aren't enough business press buzzwords that can be affixed to that so somebody had to go fug it up.

I mean if you want to irradiate your toilet just go to KFC. Buy some chicken and MD: Sweet Lightning.
I swear Sweet Lightning glows.

This production is terrible. How many times are they going to say Bryce made a great throw and then not show it.

I stopped watching midway through. The interviews that I don't give a poo about, and the lack of consistently following the actual plays was too much. Catering to the casual fan way too much.

I’m aware not everyone is able to attend in person but fan fest is and always has been an in-person experience.

It’s also a pretty boring couple hours altogether so I can only imagine the torture of trying to stream it.

I will say last night was one of the better run and more exciting ones I’ve ever attended. Weather was perfect and the fireworks show at the end was top notch.

I turned it on for about 5 minutes.  It was pointless to televise that.   Just put the interviews online.  A zoomed in view of the QB and then the announcers having to tell you everything that happened off screen is just dumb.

They did that after the 2015 season. Fireworks are always the best.

You should come to a Durham Bulls game on a Friday or Saturday if you love fireworks. It's legit 15-20 minutes long of ridiculous fireworks.

Little Q&A going on

Well we got some damn dawgs in the secondary so its not that surprising that our rookie QB isnt exactly slicing and dicing them right now.  Its good that Bryce gets to go up against them everyday though.

    • A winning record would be nice, but I still have us winning around the 6 to 8 game mark. Realistically we should beat the Jets and Saints, that gets us to 5 wins. After that, we have to face a lot of potential play off teams and our divisional opponents. I think we’ll win 1 or 2 of those games to take us to 6 or 7 wins, perhaps 8 wins if we can spring a further surprise.  Is that enough progress for head coach and QB? I’m not sure, it will depend on performances and output. That said, it’s nice to be back in a position where we are thinking about the play offs.
    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
