Moore is NOT the answer.

overthrown passes, under thrown passes, no zip on the ball. long, high floaters down field.

he had his shot. at best, he's a career 3rd string QB. I just hope we make some moves in the off season and of course give Luke a legit shot at earning the starting spot in training camp.

I've seen enough of Moore to know he's only slightly better than Jake at this point. There is a lot of talk about how Dallas didn't want to lose him and all of that, but the fact is, they DID put him on the practice squad for a reason, they felt he wasn't good enough to be on the roster. simple as that. now, he's starting for us!

To be fair to him they had to keep two kickers on the roster and didn't have the extra spot for him

Also, it's unfair to judge the kid based on these performances because considering the weather today and the situations he was put in by the coaches...he played well. Many people will want a complete overhaul which will only mean 2-3 more years of rebuilding. The main thing this team needs is a new OC

yeah, his passes don't look to have the arm behind them I thought they did.

I don't think the coaching staff is helping him out at all with the playcalling, but he really missed quite a few reads and cost the team... though not in INTs.

It's the offenses job to generate points, too, even if that isn't what it appears in Fox's system.

where were you last week? So you are going to wait till a young QB makes his 5th start on the road in horrible weather conditions and bad play calling to come out of the wood work? He may not be a permanent starter, but right now he's a pretty good backup. He's better than Jake which is all we need right now. Next season it looks like we have to take the cap hit and cut Jake because we're gonna have to bring in a good vet AND draft a QB. Cant have Jake taking up a roster spot just because of his contract and we shouldn't cut Moore because he's better than Jake.

This should not be a big surprise. Moore was the 3rd string QB since the Panthers signed McCown. Jake probably does give the Panthers 'the best chance to win' which is not saying much. Whether Fox is here next year or not, I think we see all new QB's to compete with Jake and hopefully they find one better.

depends on what the question is. Most have only claimed he was the better option than Jake......and he is still the answer to that question.

the real question is who should be the new head coach.....they will blow up the QBs on the roster.

wow i hope some of you are being sarcastic.........moore played hella well, when blitzed he got the ball to the checkdown for some good yardage, threw the ball well except a couple of throws fox just got away from what we do best there's no reason why moore should have thrown the ball 30 times.i confident that he is on his way to earning a starting job

Yeah I think that's something that has become clear, he could a great QB to keep around if his head is in the right place.

Unfortunately we will likely not keep him around due to Jake's contract or at the least tender him for nonimal conpensation.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA--

Thats what yall get for bitching about Jake all this time

I bet Jake sTARTS next Sunday

moore's still better than jake.

seen enough to know that moore isn't the answer, though. better than jake doesn't exactly mean QB of the future.

we need someone else.

next year we go with jake, mccown, and some new QB. mccown should be the starter going into camp.

    • It goes deeper than that for me. When I started watching the Panthers as a kid I fell in love with Mark Fields’ story during that SB run. He wore #58. Then TD wore it and kept the tradition of the being the soul of the Panthers. The next time someone wears #58 I hope brings that same spirit
    • T-Mac is a nickname, Tet is a shortening of Tetairoa. Like you said below... your name is Jonathan, I could see "Jonny" being considered a nickname, but Jon isn't a nickname, it's a shortening of Johnathan, see the difference? And if your mom named you Jonathan for it's biblical significance/meaning, because she was very religious, I think it would be different. T-Mac is Polynesian, so much in their culture has deeper meaning for them, particularly names.  So for his mom to feel this way, I highly doubt it's just because she likes the name Tetairoa and not Tet, it's much more likely than not to be because the name itself has a deeper meaning in their culture.   Particularly as T-Mac himself has often talked about how much his Polynesian heritage means to himself and his family. And no, I'm not saying all this because of how much he's my guy, if he was just "normal american" and his name was Jonathan and he didn't like fans calling him Jon, I'd probably just say tough poo.  It's that he's Polynesian and I know things like names have a much deeper meaning in their culture than they do in ours for the most part. For whatever it's worth, a quick google search.......
