What brilliant thing has belichick done since Brady walked out?

Was it replacing offensive coaches with defensive coaches?

Someone show me how me how he's currently smarter than everyone else.

He cheats better--spy cams and deflate gate.  Cutting edge

I'm happy for Corral.  He has a little talent and I would have preferred him be the back up rather than Andy Dalton.   Dalton gives us no chance at developing an asset behind Bryce.  If Bryce gets hurt I would much rather have Corral being developed so maybe we could get something in return for him down the road.

We drafted Corral knowing that he wasn't running a pro style offense in Ole Miss.  We knew that he was going to take time to develop and transition to an NFL offense.  It's the same thing we did with Will Grier.  I think, just like Grier, we have another player that we pulled the plug on their development too early, and he will end up being a good backup.

When you draft qbs out of spread offenses in college, it take abouts 3 seasons for them to fully adapt to the pro game. If we weren't willing to accept this then we should have never drafted him to begin with, but that's a Fitterer mistake.

When it comes to GM's, their track records shouldn't be judged on 1st round picks, those are easy, but rather the later rounds.  Fitterer has an absolute dogshit track record when it comes to mid to late round picks.  He has also traded assets to move up for these picks that haven't worked out.

Some of the picks like Grier, may have worked out, but Fitt was too impatient to allow the development to happen.

Dalton being the backup is to best develop our most important asset - Bryce.

Really not any different from the Hurney years but still people hype him up. After all the "Finesserer" circle jerks it turns out we're the ones getting finessed more often than not.

Apparently Corral was not released. He went AWOL after a practice and the patriots couldn’t locate him for 2 days. Terrible.

Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reported Corral left the team late in the week without notice. Greg Bedard of Boston Sports Journal then added more context to an increasingly bizarre situation.

“The Patriots could not put him on that list unless he literally left the team,” Bedard wrote. “From what I’ve been told from a league source: Corral disappeared after Thursday’s practice and no one could find him for two days … that would seem to indicate that they found him. They have not released him.”

Bedard added: “Corral went AWOL.”

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
