it isn’t just about the money anymore. It’s about pride. The nfl has been criticized for this so now they can’t go back. They have to be right.

i predicted last time this thread popped up you’d start hearing propaganda pieces about some “revolutionary new turf technology, the pioneering new TRUGrassX” or whatever….sure enough it’s come since then.

They are gonna go, hey look this new terf is safe and then end up switching all the terf teams to it once they get the data from it being played on this year.   

Ya know the one that Rodgers got injured on. Can't make this stuff up. 😂

Mentioned it elsewhere, but I kinda hope the "star effect" is felt here.

Tom Brady sure as gell wasn't the first quarterback to get injured by a low hit, but it was his injury that resulted in a rule change. Perhaps the fact that this time it's Aaron Rodgers going down will make a difference.

I'm not necessarily betting on it, but loss of revenue is the one thing NFL owners respond to. Not having the allure of seeing Aaron Rodgers is definitely something I could see hurting the Jets.

As far as Carolina, Bryce Young certainly doesn't possess anywhere near the national star power of a Rodgers, a Josh Allen or others but he's David Tepper's biggest draw at the moment. If something were to happen to him, you can bet Tepper would have a bullseye on his back.

      I'm right there with you, brother. I've been a Panther fan since the day the team was awarded to the Carolinas.  We've had some good years, a couple of great years, as well as some low periods and no consecutive winning seasons. But I never thought I'd see such a period as we have over the past several years.   It has gotten to the point of being rather apathetic in watching them. In fact, I told my wife before the Miami game I was watching just to see what new and creative way they lose another game.And early on, it looked like they would. But damned if Miami wasn't more creative than the Panthers.   I'm now older than my Dad when he died (he was 65) and, like you, I've wondered if I'll ever see them have another winning season. I'd sure like to think I will.
