I never understood being angry with a player for getting injured in a game or practice.  Kid works hard, just has terrible luck so far

Sometimes, when there is smoke, there is fire and injuries are a result of not staying in shape and coming in not prepared. Not saying that this is JC, but you have to wonder.

I’m wondering if maybe his body is overworked if anything. I don’t think you can be out of shape and keep up with elite WRs like he can.

Broken foot could have been from running too much and having pre existing stress fractures. The wrist was a random accident imo.

Hamstring could be from overtraining too or not being in game shape but I doubt that. He was raised by Joe Horn who was a workhorse WR.

Overworked, underworked, same thing. The guy could be doing it to himself by not prepping and taking care of his body properly. I hope that is not the case, but there has to be something there besides bad luck.

I am shocked that Jaycee hasn't been put on IR yet. Reich indicating that surgery is a possiblity doesn't bode well for a 2-3 week recovery.

EDIT: Perhaps they are trying to determine if it's IR eligible to return or just IR for the season.

Just an FYI, but there is no difference anymore. Every player can return after 4 weeks. You used to have to designate but that’s no longer the case. If someone is healthy, a team can take them off IR after 4 weeks.

The only season long IR is for people hurt and put on IR before the season starts. Doesn’t mean people after week 1 won’t stay on the list all season, just that after week 1 any player is eligible for return after 4 weeks.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
