I think it is obvious to folks who frequent this site that certain posters beat the same old dead horses and have players or coaches they don't like and constantly complain about. So I don't need to point out what is clear to anyone paying attention.

Understood. Just wanted to make it clear I try to look at things objectively. I was a Teddy supporter while he was here but was also supportive of him leaving when the time came.

So my post in particular isn’t meant as a slight at Bryce. It’s to point out that the spread looked very Teddy-esque per that game and that it’s something to monitor once we get some speed back on offense.

And people wonder why this franchise the way it is.  Fans settle for mediocrity and always look for good in bad and always “hope” for the future. -Result, a shitty franchise with no energy.

As to what? I see people using some rationale and logic. Our rookie QB looked like a rookie in his first start on the road. Do we need to start rioting outside the stadium? There is nothing wrong with waiting to see how/if he progresses as the season goes on. The most important thing in this league is getting a franchise QB. If this season can develop Young into one then it’s a win all day long.

Something I think that will really help Bryce is using his escapability and extending the play more often. He flashed his escapability big time in the Detroit preseason game. If our receivers can’t get open in 3 seconds, it could really help to escape the pocket and buy some more time when the pocket starts to collapse. It seems like he’s rushing his reads because he thinks he HAS to get the ball out before the pocket collapses.

This.

He had one fantastic run in particular to snag a 1st down and was hoping to see more of that as the game went on when guys weren’t getting open. I wonder if limiting him in this regard was by design.

So let's talk about playcalling. How much was gameplanning, poor adjusting, poor execution, or something else.

You see the play run not the play called or what adjustments were or were not made. Were the protections good or not?

How many plays like that first 4th and 1 were intentionally called right over the left to see what we are capable of rather than trying to score using a finesse play which stood a better chance of success.

The playcalling wasn't adequate and the execution was poor. But I am withholding judgement until I see some more games.

Folks have been using some rational and logic on this board for the past 7 years.

It’s not just Young.  It’s the whole organization.  Top to bottom.  It’s poo.  Tom Brady would fail here.
