Like most conspiracy theories, this one makes little to no sense.

You don't think Frank Reich realizes that if Bryce fails his career as a head coach is over? What would be the point of trying to hide him like this when even a playoff berth with Andy Dalton at QB wouldn't save Reich in the long run if Bryce ends up being a bust.

I think it’s more believable that Frank wants Bryce to sit a few games to watch Dalton and see the game and game speed from the sideline. If Dalton plays you’ll probably see Bryce no more than 6” away from Josh McCown at all times with an iPad

Not upset, just not ready to declare anything definitively. There is not enough information to draw any sort of conclusion. But don't let me stop you from having a good time.

I said I think he will play but it wouldnt be far fetched for said "conspiracy" to be real.  The fact that he has looked like complete ass for 2 weeks is a good starting point for information for me.  They cannot outright say they are benching him for dalton so a tweaked ankle would do the trick for a couple of weeks

Hey Tom Brady was Superbowl MVP at 43!  If everyone can compare Bryce to Peyton Manning for no good reason then we can certainly compare Dalton to Brady for the same no good reasons.

Carson Palmer, Fitzpatrick, and few other guys had some solid years in their late 30s. Another example is our QB coach.

I don't think that they'd pull the plug after only 2 weeks, but crazier things have happened, so that's why I'm just waiting to see. Like I said, this theory falls apart if Bryce plays Sunday.

That would have been a smart thing to do in, IDK, preseason.

    • People were discussing the new backup QB in comparison the the starter.  Neither has anything close to a cannon.  Video was posted of them throwing.  If people can’t be free to express their opinions without being put on a list of posters who have ruined this place we have a bad situation here. People trying to silence  criticism of the QB.    Maybe actually post about the other players instead of about the other posters. That is where it went off the rails.
    • That's true and we're definitely going to hear more about it as summer progresses. But at the end of the day all of the progress we've made on the roster as a whole will only matter if our passing offense can emerge from the basement of the NFL. In 2023 it was 32 out of 32 in 2024 it was 30th out of 32 and last year it was 26th out of 32. And early in the season we relied heavily on a career year from Rico Dowdle who is no longer on the roster. This is only reinforced by the fact that we (depending on how one views it) effectively took playcalling out of Dave Canales hands and brought in another offensive mind. The elephant in the room isn't going anywhere no matter how much we may not like it.
    • There's plenty of other things to discuss. This is the most talented roster we've had in a long time.
