I'm still hoping for the best for Bryce, but man, if it's true that we picked him because Tepper wanted him, that fuging pisses me the fug off.  It just seems like such a dumbass with money, casual ass pick.  "Yeah, let me ignore all the positive qualities of these other guys...  draft him because he won a lot at one of the best programs in the country.  He's a winner."

A lot if people, including Steve Smith and Cam Newton thought and a lot of respected scouts, thought Young was the best QB

same with Trevor

they made the pick…time will tell but they are married to him now. No point in buyers regret

If you wanna take it a step further, Tepper picked Bryce, and then they let Bryce pick Mingo or at least knew Bryce wanted him so they took him. Clown show

Yeah, and I can't knock people I respect for who they like, but again, even pros and pro scouts are wrong, A LOT.  But I maintain, if the owner is making that pick its not because it's grounded in football knowledge or expertise, and that's my problem.  And honestly, to this point, Tepper hasn't made a single, proven good decision yet.

He'll be fine. IF Washington's OL can protect him which has been questionable all year and has just fallen apart today

I mean it is a McDermott coached defense against a RR OL… gotta take that into consideration too. Sean is going to know everything Rivera is going to do and he has played(coached) against Eric extensively as well.

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
