And Tepper has done it multiple times now. He's clueless.

Dude was so cocky coming in. Wasn't gonna be no more of this mediocrity bullshit. There's gonna be all kinds of super smart analytics. Evidently the analytics didn't show that trading a king's ransom to draft a noodle armed QB the size of a HS freshman is a bad idea. Maybe scrap those analytics.

Just say you have no argument rather than try and tell me what to do

Yes. You were so, so right. After 3 games you have all of the information you need to declare one better than the other. I’m so, so glad you can sleep at night knowing that the guy you wanted has had a better 3 games. Validation granted.

Along with whoever made the decision to trade up for Bryce Young. If it was Tepper then he really needs to swallow his ego and GTFO of all football decisions.

This isnt likely to happen for many years, if ever.  Bob Kraft micromanaged the poo outta his team.  It wasnt until an ugly split with Parcells and a failed stint with Pete Carroll that he realize he needed to get out of the way.  No guarantee Tepper ever has that revelation.

Then the one time he tried to actively lose games (last year after firing Rhule), we actually started winning lmao

Dude needs to do the George Costanza thing where he just does the opposite of whatever his impulses are.

This is the sad reality. These billionaire types aren't used to failing and are used to having final say on everything all the whole having minimal actual football experience. It's not a great combination for finding success on the field.

That Wilks wasn't retained betrays that getting a look at him as a potential HC was a farce. I mean, given the dramatic improvement under him if that was the actual case you would've given him the job.

They arent used to being told no and they tend to gravitate towards people that confirm their own bias.  When you are worth 20Bs, most of it in cash, you are always right!  "Look how right I am... count the zeros in my bank account!!  That ish is right as rain."

I was all for getting some hot shot OC to be our new head coach instead of Wilks.  But in hindsight, Tepper would have looked way better if he just kept Wilks.  Even if Wilks failed miserably this year, Tepper would have gotten the benefit of the doubt for going with the guy who actually got the team playing.

Yeah, if you were going to go the boring retread route you already had that in Wilks with the locker room behind him.

When it came down to the final three, I was begging for Kellen Moore over the re-treads. At least he is in that group of modern NFL play callers, and he has the chargers offense looking pretty good. But what do I know.

that is NFL open.  Should be a catch, DB may have grabbed a hand tho.

I'm not arguing the ball should have been caught. Chark definitely could have definitely done better.

But... that is also a throw most QBs make. The elite ones are the ones that place it a step in front of him at the point of catch and only gives the WR a chance to catch it. I'm just saying if that is the impressive throw we have been waiting for from Bryce, then YIKES.

Hindsight is always 20/20, but especially if you're drafting a QB that checks none of the physical boxes of the conventional prototypical NFL QB, then you definitely don't want to pair him with a HC that is going to run a largely traditional NFL offense. If you want to try to break the mold, then break the mold.

    • Lol, good one. Rod will never let Necas Play center
    • All I can say is... I have some happiness off the rags choking and losing to the Panthers. Hopefully the Western conference team wins the Stanley cup, but now I can be 100% uninvested in the playoffs
