you guys are ridiculous

Let’s revisit your “you guys are ridiculous” comment mid next season. I will gladly eat crow if I’m wrong.

"LOL we're not going to go winless." In 1972, when I was in high school, a friend and I had a $5 bet on the Colts-Dolphins game. The Dolphins won. So, he let me go double-or-nothing bets the rest of the season because..."no way will the Dolphins go undefeated..." And the rest, as they say, is history.

I said Week 1 during the Atlanta game: "This team could go 0-17." Don't kid yourself Joe. They very well could go winless. They are that bad.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this is made up as your HS buddy didn’t end up paying you $40,960.

Everyone needs to relax, I can tell you that no one in the building is worried about Bryce at all. He’s shown flashes of exactly why every notable analyst had him ranked as the best QB prospect in the draft. There is absolute frustration over how the season has started and especially on how the OL/run game has performed. They are looking to make an upgrade at WR and help alleviate playing 8-9 in the box and believe the return of Corbs will have big impact.

I believe there’s also been frustrations in the playcalling but wouldn’t expect any rash decisions on the coaching front at this time.

People love to be miserable. Have things gone how we wanted from him? Answering truthfully, no. Some major FOMO seeing Stroud? Of course. But to say he hasn't improved pretty clearly each week just isnt the case. If he continues this path, he will be fine.image.png.0b432fa5ac4e0d603484943366b063f9.png

I’m one of the few still not worried about Bryce. The only thing concerning I’ve seen from him is he looks easily discouraged in games at the moment. That will improve as well.

Any word on what we’re offering for WR help or who we’re targeting?

I don’t know any specifics and would just be reporting speculations that I don’t really think are based in actual info. Sorry

I am with you on not worried about Bryce. It’s 4 games in. Is he what this fan base wanted or needed though? At this point no. Tepper has been crushing this organization and I feel like it’s close to dying.

Under JR we never had consistent sustained success but we had enough sporadic success to maintain interest and hope. This feels boring and hopeless.

Yeah, its really not ideal. I remember the early Tepper days, much excitement, much hope lol. Now... feels like he can't make a single right decision. Its kind of crazy, like you would think just out of law of averages, he would get something right lol.

Yep. I’m definitely not a fair weather fan. But you hit the nail on the head. There is just no hope for any success in the near term and It’s not fun to watch. There isn’t even a twinkle in the corner of the eye that things will get better. Tepper ball just sucks. Asking a fan base to wait, coupled with empty promises and mortgaging the future is just asinine. First. You must have a good team. You can’t jump to great team straight away. And it all starts with depth. If you can’t build a core for a QB to step into, wtf are you doing?

At the end of the day, fandom is basically all about hope. You have no actual ability to fundamentally impact anything, you just hope the team will be good. Without hope there is no fandom.

Well, your limb broke. Correct, I didn't have to pay $40, 960 because, as friends, we laughed it off and said, "who wouldn't thunk..." The story is true. It never ceases to amaze me how people feel like they need to offer an opinion on something they know nothing about.

That said, my comment has nothing to do with "relaxing." I'm a reealist. There's no emition on my end. This is a very bad football team. They may not win one game. As far as Bryce, my assessment has nothing to do with him.

And that’s what sucks. Cause I love me some football and I’m tired of rooting for other teams in the playoffs.

Could you let us know your speculations? Even if it’s not concrete it will be fun to discuss.

So in essence a single piece of info was presented and it turns out the bets never really happened and you and your buddy actually just discussed the improbability of a team going undefeated? Cool 50 year old anecdote
