I can believe that - but IMHO Frank has done himself no favors in the way he's talked Bryce up. He made him sound like the Steph Curry of the NFL before he'd take a snap. It honestly reminds me of how much Hubert Davis hyped up any and every player on UNC's 2022-2023 roster.

He has to toe the line that Tepper wants out. It's all PR bull

I mean, if Joe is right and Tepper basically had veto power and he wanted Bryce then what was he to do? Throw a fit? I mean, at some point when you know the writing is on the wall you either have to quit and walk away from millions or you have to suck it up and put on a happy face and sell your locker room on this being your guy.

If you ever want to coach in the NFL again, you walk. Think Frank is getting another job offer after this?

He said this is his last gig. Id suck it up and smile for the amount he is getting paid. He will be fired and go into retirement with a massive bag. Swindled just like Rhule.

I don't know man. Letting your name and NFL legacy get obliterated like that for money? That just seems like such a non NFL guy thing to do after spending your life working to get to that point of being able to leave a legacy.

Generally, me neither. But I think I could put on a happy face for millions of dollars.

Maybe but it’s fake and how long can you do that, especially when things go like they are now? I’d be vocal as hell because all the heat is on me as the HC.

If only Dundon had the funds to buy the panthers. He literally came in house day one. Cleaned it out promoted our coach and left all the hockey direct decisions to the GM and Coach. He’s very active in managing the business, as a business… but not the team.

Funny I said this same thing a few months ago when the charlotte FC team sucked. Let Dundon but all Carolinas pro teams.

On the bright side if Frank is fired or steps down Wilks would still be available. He's doing a good job for the 49ers at babysitting that crazy talented defense. I still believe that he would just be Ron Rivera 2.0 but at least we'd be good every couple of years.

Off-topic, but he is putting together a team, looking into bringing a major league baseball team out that way

    • Oh I was.  But we still had great players.
    • You keep AT unless he WANTS to get traded to a contender during the season.  He's valuable, TET, XL, and Coker need to learn how to be PROFESSIONALS on game day, practice, and the off-season.  That's what you get from AT.  ADDITIONALLY, he is clutch.  He is steady.  At is that savvy vet who will always flash. I really think they keep 7 WR's if Brycen can operate on special teams.  Week 1 you may see us heavy on WR and OL because of the massive amount of injuries across the league.  Renfrow may even be cool starting on the PS since he lives close and wouldn't need to uproot his family.  You can still make nearly 400K as a vested veteran on an NFL practice squad.  You see more veterans hanging around since the age limit was lifted. I think the 1st 53 and PS looks like so...... Offense: (25) QB (2) Young / Dalton RB (3) Chuba/Rico/Etienee WR (7) T-Mac/XL/AT/Coaker/Renfrow/JHjr/Brycen TE (3) Tremble/Sanders/Evans OL (10) Icky/Lewis/Corbett/Hunt/Moten/Brady/Mayes/Yosh/Zavala/Kingston Defense: (25) DL: (6) Brown/Robinson/Turk/Bobby B/Cam Jackson/Sam Roberts OLB: (5) Wonnom/PJ2/NicSic/Princely/Incoon ILB: (5) Rozeboom/TW/Windmon/Cherelus/Bam CB: (5) Horn/MJ/CSW/Thorton/Evans S: (4) Tre'Mo/Ransom/Demani/Scott Specialists: (3) JJ/Fitz/Martin Last spot: Right now I have it as a toss up between DJ Johnson and Bam.  Until NicSic can come back we need an extra edge.  Do we utilize TW more as a blitzer from the middle to keep Bam safe?  I'm not worried about DJJ getting picked up from another team, a little more concerned with Bam. Practice Squad: DavidMoore/JamesMitchell/JacolbyGeorge/Tuttle/Crumdley/Ray/DJJohnson/Kantra/Carter/Blacksheer/ Wright/KrysBarnes/MichaelReid/Safety pick up/RB pick up/QB pick up
