Thank you! I cheer for the kid every Sunday. When he flashes I point out when I think he’s doing well. When he isn’t doing well I point it out. This false narrative about not giving him a fair shot through 4 games ( 5 but he missed one already ) only because you wanted Stroud is

You hit submit too early.

And let me add that there are a lot of people who didnt want him and are taking this chance to trash him even if its just after 4 games

There are some coaches on this team who will more than likely be head coaches one day. Frank is doing them a disservice by his inability to lead and inspire these players to maximize what talent they have. I honestly wish he would step away and let Thomas Brown or Evero coach this team.

Bruh he made this adjustment before they even got to the line to snap. He KNEW what the defense was doing before they even lined up.

That's true he did but he did it one time out of how many snaps in 5 games? That's great he was able to do that and execute it for a TD but lets not act like this is what he's been doing since the first game and every snap thereafter. It was one play.

I’m on record not calling him a bust and saying he needs two full seasons to be fully judged. However, that doesn’t absolve him of judgement for what he has put out there in games so far.

I should have been more specific and less vague. He def deserves criticism when playing bad. But he also made good plays last week that no one brings up because we basically got killed. I am mostly talking about the people already saying we made the wrong pick its too early to say that imo.

Have any of us watched his film to know how frequently he has done something like this? Has anyone watched the film to see how many times they have audibled at the line? Let’s not act like we know what’s going on more than we do.

Another lol

You think that's the only time he's done that?

Are you not in the game day threads? We talked about things he did well in the fourth quarter. Some folks just put it under the blanket of it being “prevent” defense but others were happy progress was made period. I know I said I’m more comfortable with Bryce after last game.

Yea and I get it. We all thought theyd be way better and people thought Bryce wouldnt play like a rookie. And people are just sick of losing.

The problem is seeing how much better Stroud is doing. The argument that he’s in a better situation doesn’t fly because the Texans had the 2nd worst record last year and most people still could not name a WR on that team.  Another issue is the laterals and 2 yard passes im plus he doesn’t have the arm strength to throw the deep ball.

Dont deflect what? bryce has played like a rookie. Hes had some really good flashes. cj stroud isnt being asked to do nearly as much as Bryce and its a fact.

I've said this before but as it stands now, Bryce is on pace for 65% completion, 3000 passing yards, 20 TDs and 16 INTs.  Which, under any other normal circumstances would be a really really good rookie season for any QB.  Also, I think he will end up even more productive than that, as his overall numbers have improved each game he has played.  I think he will end up around 63-65%, 3300-3500 yards, 25-27 TDs and 16 or so picks.  Bryce is gonna be just fine.

If he can get to 3500 yards and 25-27 TDs passing nobody will care about the picks.

Bryce has been bashed more in six months here probably than Teddy, Phillip, Sam and Baker put together.

This is an incredibly ridiculous assertion to make, especially because it is so very untrue. Bryce is taking some undue heat due to expectations that were set beyond his control, but the dude has not played well and is getting called on it just like the QBs you listed. Maybe no lt fair but it wasn't particularly fair to any of them.

    • LOL... Yet again proving you can't look below anything than what you see on the surface Mock drafts ARE NOT draft grades They are what people think will happen.  They are mocking teams taking QB's in the top 5 of the draft because that's just historically how drafts go regardless of the grades on the QBs.  Almost every draft expert, even those mocking QB's going high, have said time and time again that none of these QB's actually grade out as those type of picks. This is again, where I say you don't like to actually read what I have to say, because I already explained it. 2022 the exact same thing happened, mock drafts had guys like Pickett and Willis going in the Top 5 because that's just what teams usually do, but GM's listened to their prospect grades and knew they weren't worth taking that high, so they didn't. It's not to say QB's won't go that high this year, but it's to say that they aren't graded out as elite QB prospects.  Mock drafts
    • Have you seen the mock drafts lately?   Most of them have us taking a QB. Just because you aren't high on these QBs doesn't mean the Panthers or other teams aren't.   If you want me to be real I just think you a Tmac homer and all you care about is us drafting him. It's why you get so defensive when people mention other prospects.   Be open to other people's ideas. Nobody in this thread is saying anything bad about your boy Tmac.
    • Oh good lord Interest doesn't mean interest in making a bad trade to take the player, that's why I had such a long post, to accurately describe why those are two different things, but you don't like to listen to that stuff.  Being interested in a player doesn't live in a vacuum. It's very simple... there isn't a #1 draft pick type of grade on any of these QB's, if there was, we'd just take them.  You can't bluff a pick everyone knows you won't make, and trying to trade the pick is the CLEAR signal that you're not taking the QB. Just because the Raiders would have interest, doesn't mean they're going to bail us out of a situation we don't want to be in, they'd be smart about it and just sit put, let us take a non QB as we'd be telling the world we're not taking one just by trying to trade the pick, and then they'd take him at #2 (either with their own pick or by trading less to get that one). Oh, and your point of "if nobody is willing to make the trade, you obviously just take the best QB" is quite literally the dumbest thing I've ever read on here. If nobody is willing to trade up to take the QB, then it's OBVIOUS that the QB isn't worth taking with that pick, so OBVIOUSLY taking the best QB there is just OBVIOUSLY stupid and a bad pick. The moral of it is if there is a QB worth taking, we're taking them and not making the trade.  If there isn't a QB worth taking there, nobody is trading up to #1 to take one, we just showed the NFL how bad of an idea that is 2 years ago, it's really not hard to see. You keep making up this mythical situation where there is a QB who has shown to be worth trading up to #1 for and we'll be able to leverage that into a trade.  But we're the most QB needy team in the league, if we end up with the #1 pick, either we are taking a QB #1 or no QB is going #1 unless we get VERY lucky and two teams in the Top 5 fall in love with one prospect and we can play them off each other and fleece one of them. But again, I can't see that happening, as if there was a QB worthy of that, we're just taking him ourselves.
