My main thought in my mind going into Sunday is Frank Reich is in a lose lose situation.

1. The offense does well and we win under better play-calling. Bryce outplays C.J. Stroud He looks like an idiot because we would be 1-6 and his poor play-calling and clock management would be a large reason why.

2. Nothing changes and we are 0-7 with no 1st round pick.

If Reich coaches a good game and Brown has a strong performance in his playcalling debut and we ultimately win, I think that'll still reflect favorably.  Especially if that success continues throughout the season.  I doubt anyone within the Panthers' FO or any of us fans will hold onto a grudge about the first 6 games if Bryce and the offense starts firing on all cylinders and we start popping off some wins.  Well, definitely some Huddlers will...but I'm guessing Frank's seat will still cool down a bit with Tepper.

Multi year evaluation incoming

So pointless.  I mean sure maybe he is telling the truth, but no coach is going to say they preferred another player while the current player is starting for them.  Even Ryans won't say they preferred Young because Stroud is their guy.  He just claims they liked "both."

Frank is a terrible liar.

Notice Ryans wouldn’t say who he had higher. Just they liked them both. If he had Stroud higher he would have just said that since Stroud is the one he got. I really think the Texans had Young as their QB1 and lucked into Stroud.

Not sure why you think that when Insider source Adam Schefter had started the Texans they would have taken Bryce. No team who has known that OSU cannot produce reliable QB and with his s2 score to go against, would risk taken CJ over Bryce.

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
