Defense would be elite with a TJ Watt level pass rusher on the opposite side of Burns. Let Burns be a complimentary #2 pass rusher like he actually is and has been.  Hes having a down year this year but he at least occasionally gets sacks and pressures.

That would be nice, unfortunately, we are probably going to have to pay Burns a lot to keep him.  Maybe less now than we might have over the past summer, but still a significant amount of money.  Unless we can find a steal in the later rounds of the draft, getting a top DE is going to be extremely tough.

We have a better shot at getting a solid guy opposite burns, have two good, but no great DE's.

    • Agree completely. Can't cheat the salary cap, so why be one of the richest owners and NOT find your advantages elsewhere?  Every time a visiting team comes in, coaches or players, make them remember how nice things are here.
    • Beat the brakes off us? What are you watching? We are 17-2 with Ball, Kon, Miller, Moose, and Bridges starting. The fact that you came up here with that idiotic response is laughable.! GO AWAY!
    • How low has this fan base gotten when 29-31, and 10th in the East has the "fans" in a frenzy of how good this team.  Detroit came in here and beat the brakes (literally) off of the Hornets. Kon is a good story, and I admittedly hated the pick (and was wrong).  But much like the Panthers, until this team fixes its coaching staff, they will continue be a "maybe we back door into the playoffs every once and a while" organization.
