Please...not Bill Belichick

Rumor has it that Teppers going after him. That's exactly what they need. A 71 year old man to ignite a fire in this team. s/

It sounds like something that Tepper would do. WTF is it with this guy. He never learns. Just a never ending pattern of stupid moves to further malign the team.

We can only hope that Belichik would say no if targeted. I couldn't stomach two or three seasons with that man as HC.

It would be Seifert 2.0.

it’s why you study history kids.

Its 2023.  We need to hire a new young age coach for the new NFL.   They don’t have to be 20.  It doesn’t need to be a 70+ year old defensive coach that was great elsewhere and done all he is ever going to do in the NFL already.

would he improve us? Sure. So would bringing John Fox out of retirement or rehiring Rivera.  Bar is on the literal floor.

Belichik would immediately be the best coach in our history, but not sure he has the energy left to do what needs to be done. He would have been a good hire after Ron, but not sure about now.

Best coach in our history?

Unless he reaches a SB he will never be the best HC in our history. This dude is overrated if we being honest. Sucks at drafting and he hasn't proved he can contend without Brady.

Oh yeah and he's 71! Hell to the NO!

If BB goes somewhere, it will be a place like the Chargers.  A team with a qb, some talent, in need of a proven winner.

I'm not sure anywhere like that would take him. I feel like he will have to go somewhere like Washington, Carolina, maybe one of the other NFC South jobs.

The logic of that doesn’t compute. I didn’t say he would have the best record, especially in the first year or two, but he would be the best coach we have ever had. He is better than Capers, Fox, or Rivera. No other fan base would even debate that.

That said, not sure he has the energy to take this program through the next 3-4 years to get back to where we need to go.

He's not better though. You just going off what he did with Brady. He has legit looked below average since Brady left.

He's also 71 it's not like he has these new ideas of finding ways to improve as a HC. I don't want any part of that guy coming here. We already tried the older HC with younger roster thing. It didn't work. BB is even older than Frank.

    • Yeah, if you tune in for any of the remainder of the season you will get what you're asking for. Nobody but yourself to blame. This is a sports franchise of losers, for losers.
    • Here is my take, go ahead and roast me, I'm ok with it, I know where I am. I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet. I will wait until week 4 or 5 before I entertain that option. This game I blame on the coaching staff. Their failure to give reps to the first team during the preseason was reflected in this game. Lets just call this what it is... our preseason warm up game. You could see that the whole team was flat in the first half. Every aspect of the game, the basic fundamentals. Mental errors, missed tackles, timing on routes, they were not ready for this game. Jacksonville is not a great team but you could clearly see their energy level surpassed ours. I do have to give credit to our defense. They did hang in there and kept competing through 4 quarters (minus the 71 yard run). The way our offense played it's a wonder Jacksonville didn't put 40 on us. Positives I saw, (I know, I know), but come on, we still have 16 games. TMAC IS that guy!! Chuba looked good, and overall, our O-line looked good. As bad as Bryce looked at times I do feel like we're a step or two away from connecting with our WR corps. There were plays to be made that were JUST off by a step or two (again, I know). We have talent at WR, we have talent on offense. To me, this game just looked like a team that was not mentally prepared for NFL week one, and less, "oh my god, we're the same old Panthers". Now I get it... a lot of this hinges on Bryce Young and his confidence. If he can erase this and focus on building continuity with these receivers I honestly think we're not going to suck as bad as we did today. XL... IDK, the jury with him is still out, but there is no doubt the kid has mega potential. Our defense, honestly, considering we have a bunch of new guys on that side, they held their own considering the offense could never change the momentum of the game. I am as disappointed as everyone else at another week one poor performance. But I also realize we are STILL rebuilding. Lets just take it week by week right now and see if we have ANY talent that rises to the surface. Because I really do not know what we have talent wise. And that is not just limited to the QB. So, we will see, but I'm not going to call it just yet... just my take. Now fire away! lol
    • Well for one, what other realistic choice is there? Barring a season ending injury, Bryce is the guy for this year. Next year all options are open, but there aren't any other real world solutions for the 2025 season.
