The Observer's Processing Blue podcast: Breaking down the fallout from Tepper's drink tossing incident

Recommended Posts

Both say that Teppers behavior will affect the coaching search and all Teper has to counter act it is money.  He probably won't get his 1st or 2nd pick for HC because of it.

Both say new coach must be sold on BY.

Both think Young should sit and Dalton play the last game because he has been lucky not to get hurt this season so far and should start out next season healthy.

Neither commits to whether Fit will be back or not next year.

If I was Thomas Brown, I would definitely want Dalton to start the last game.  I think it's important for his ongoing career to show that "It's not me".

Could be they both suck

I see your line of thinking but Bryce Young is not going to get better by sitting on the bench.

Each game Young starts and plays means that is one more game that will give him the much needed experience at becoming an N.F.L. QB.

Bryce young is going to hinder the coaching search.  100%.  That is unless tepper does something crazy and pay Johnson like 17mil per

See Christenson, Brady or Corbett, Austin

It makes no sense to trot a key starter for 2024 out there this week, but panthers gonna panther

I would argue that experience is not BY's problem at this point.  He's had all the necessary experience of a rookie season.  One more game isn't going to flip a switch.  What he needs is an offseason with a QB coach who will be on his (*@ about fixing his mechanical issues.

He has had elite coaching at every level, he has gone to elite qb camps and had some of the best one on one training in the country.  But this is the offseason where his mechanics and footwork get corrected.  Forgive me if I LOL.

Oh, I'm not saying I think it will happen, only that it's what he NEEDS.

It's very strange that his footwork has degraded like it has.  If you go back and watch in 2021, he was still super toesy (clearly his height has always been an issue) but his footwork was much quicker and more confident.  He was actually getting back quickly and keeping the best base possible given his height.  Watch the Florida 2021 tape for example.  I'm not saying his footwork has ever been great, but it's definitely much worse now than at any point in the past.
