Its quite simple really.

Morgan has one season, no other candidates were going to by tied to Bryce Youngs sorry ass

I would think the Teppers would be a much bigger issue to deal with.

Man it hurts to watch a pro go to DC and we get leftovers of a 2 win season.

I don’t care for Donnelly at all, from, what I have heard. Which is ‘Bryce Young is mad! Look out now!  Which is beside the point.... but really Donnelly? Okay. Next.

If Morgan had not said that glowing stuff about Bryce Young, I would be fine with him. It was last year, but he was on that wagon hard just like the rest of them.

We have to do it now because we will never be at 9 again! And all this praise for Young after the pick. You fuging said that Morgan.

What this means is selling out for OL and WR and neglecting the D, because the QB can’t make people better more like he makes it harder for them.

We could have done that with a 3rd round pick. It is too stupid, I can’t watch it.

Lots of food for thought, but what struck me the most is how Tim Donnelly said that Morgan is starting with strikes already against him. If things begin to go south relatively quickly, do you actually think that Tepper isn't going to be thinking that Morgan wasn't part of the problem and more of the same is incoming?

The second thing that struck me is that do you really think that Morgan is ultimately going to stand up to Tepper if he couldn't even stand up to Scott Fitterer?

On a positive note, he mentioned how Sportsology led to Lynch & Shannahan, and maybe they can pair a good coach up with our defensive ex-star.

I like Tim.

Hard to argue with his logic, or anyone’s, on the situation

the franchise is where it is.

im not a fan, at all, of the Bryce Young pick   His stature and arm strength simply do  not translate to the nfl but he is here    A lot was spent for him

…so, fix a few things, give him some weapons, if this year is no better, fish or cut bait, and the bait is Young   I see him as not in the league after his contract expires   Who knows, maybe he will fool me

now, Morgan, if he was part of the young mess, may very well be next…or he might not have been…but for this year, he has to try and make it work and if he was smart, he made no promises

To be fair, his podcast was about Young finally showing that he gave a damn as his body language and Fire is not very inspiring to his teammates

several in the locker room said they were glad to see it

frankly, I was a bit surprised to see the C on Youngs jersey from Day 1 as he had done zero to earn it and still hasn’t

He has been here for tons of garbage moves and you have to think he was involved in all of them.

So we need fist hand info to answer theses questions. There doesn't seem to be much actual info on that front.

Until some real insight is given I have to go on what I know about Morgan which is mainly from his playing days.Right now I'm all in on Dan Mirgan.

The info you need is Dan’s job duties the past few years and the product on the field.

A good linebacker doesn’t make a good talent evaluator.

I guess for one, who was lining up to be signing up to sell a potential coach on the organization?

Heavy selling needed on Tepper, and Bryce Young. For starters.

Maybe Morgan turns out to be as good as his friends think he will be and not as bad as his last three years indicate. He proved himself on the field and links to the 2003 team. I’d hate to see it not go well.

So you got nothing ...thanks

Anyone else with actual info?

Count me in as Pro Morgan.

We're all pro Morgan in the sense that we hope that he does well, but there isn't any concrete evidence that we should be all giddy about the hire. Like I said in another thread, the proof will be in the product on the field, but I will be scrutinizing what he says at the initial presser as GM. If he says anything to the effect that we're not that far away, I will cringe. If he references that they have a lot of work to do to build the franchise into a winner, then I'll believe there is some hope.
