I'm about as low on Allen as anyone but he's been legit great in the playoffs. 26 TDs to 6 turnovers, only 1 really bad game (against Cincinnati last year in bad weather).

Wow, not a play I would have called, but it worked.  That is ballgame.

Its a cliche, but in this case its true.  Baltimore beat themselves.

In some ways yes but KC defense and Spags' gameplan deserves A TON of credit.

Yeah but Burrow and Allen have definitely outperformed Lamar in the playoffs in their careers so far. I'd love to have Lamar, don't get me wrong. But his playoff/injury history concerns me enough that I don't think I'd make an insane trade for him along with a massive contract. All moot anyways since Ravens were never actually gonna let him go.

I think you're overblowing this injury history thing. Josh is an injury waiting to happen (a la Cam). Burrough's injury history is already worse than Jackson's.

They have performed better, but still no cigar. They're in the same place.

Lamar has unfortunately made the message quite clear. Pressure will just continue to build from here.

Every other great QB is under pressure to beat Mahomes.

It's no longer Mahomes and whoever. It's who can beat Mahomes. Not sure there is anyone who can do it consistently. This was the best year to beat him.

Guys like Scarlett and Gaulden didn’t even make it from the 2018 and 2019 drafts to 2020. There were 7, yes 7, picks from 2018/2019 that didn’t make it to the 2020 Panthers even though we lost a ton of vets going into 2020.

1 player a draft is not average. That’s bad. 2 per draft is Ok and treading water.  3 or more is great and you are improving the team. Also, when I say hit, it’s an impact starter not Hubbard or Christensen who are easily replaced.

Can you name me 3 GMs who have lived up to your standard? I'll look at their draft data.

Game. One QB showed up and the other didn't.

Baltimore's whole team seemed like they weren't prepared for the Chiefs to not just fold. The game was there to take and they just couldn't.

Pretty clear that Mahomes should be MVP as well, stats be damned.

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
