"Near certainty" Burns will be tagged

We should trade him and move on.

It's kind of sad they haven't come to an agreement after a full year. What I don't understand is how do you turn down that trade offer from the Rams if you knew a contract wasn't going to be realistic.

Just shows you how dumb Fitt was as a GM.

Turning down that Rams offer was just powerful stupid. Those fools REALLY thought they were gonna compete right then and there and then they ended up with the #1 overall pick (already traded to the Bears). LOLOLOLOL

Wild to think the Bryce and CMC trade are probably worse moves than not taking the Rams insane offer. Speaks volumes to why we are at where we are.

If you were to make a list of the top 10 worst moves made by NFL teams in recent years all three would probably be on the list.

You're so brilliant...no ones ever thought this...

The Bryce move may end up being the worst because of what we could have had(it will depend on DJ and the #1 overall picks career). The CMC trade was actually a good trade. That will probably be the most compensation anyone gets for a RB possibly in the next decade or more.

I mean, obviously we squandered all the draft capital we got becuz Panthers.

The Burns decision though.....that could definitely end up being the worst decision. There is actually a significant chance it's even worse than the Bryce deal.

Tagging him will be another massive mistake. They will not be able to trade him and receive 2 1sts in return.  You guys are dreaming if you think a team is going to give up that much for his worthless ass. We will be stuck with another massively overpaid slacker on this team. He will be the Ian Thomas of the defense.

It was dumb to turn it down from the team's perspective, but you have to put yourself in the shoes of Scott Fitterer.  He probably didn't like his chances of surviving long enough to use those picks if he sold off Burns.  The team had to show signs of life or he was going to get fired.  Almost every GM is playing for right now, hence the Rams offer in the first place.

Honestly at this point I am fine with a couple of 2nd round picks. Maybe a late first rounder.
That is why the Ravens trade looks good to me on paper.

    • Wasn't talking about Medicare exactly.  Medicare advantage is different.  The one my mom uses is thru blue cross and blue shield.   Medicare Advantage (Part C) | Blue Cross Blue Shield (bcbs.com) My mom has been using it for about six months now.  Before she was using a medigap program run by United Health Care and it paid almost everything, but was costing her 400 a month.  The Medicare advantage plan doesn't cost anything (the premiums are actually paid by Medicare).  Now she does have copayments, some of them for for medicine, but so far, they aren't bad.  Hers also covers dental, which medicare normally doesn't cover.   I will state though that my Mom has Medicare part b (she pays for it, but gets reimbursed by the employer my stepdad retired from).
    • Can revisit when/if Charlotte gets an MLB team. It has been discussed lately and I think Charlotte and Nashville are supposedly high on the list.
    • Nfl leaders don't look at the population of just the city itself.  Charlotte has three of the top fifty combined statistical areas within a 1 to 1.5 hour drive.  Charlotte, Greensboro/WS/High Point, and Greenville Spartanburg.  Those three statistical areas include nearly 7 million people.  Other than Raleigh, the only one in the top fifty within an hour and half of raleigh is Greensboro.  So only about 4-5 million people.  Charlotte has many more people to draw from.   Also, many of the surrounding communities for Raleigh are not native born.  If memory serves, many still refer to Cary as Containment area for relocated Yankees.  One of the reasons the Canes do so well is a significant portion of the population are people who moved from Northern Areas.  Would that population translate into support for a NFL team?  Hard to say, but I see a tremendous amount of Giants/Jets jerseys in the triangle when I forced to endure the crazy traffic on 40/85.
