I think Chinn is a FA already?

Damn man, you're right.

2nd in DROY votes after 2020, then follows it up with an excellent sophomore year, becomes a fan favorite, and then falls into obscurity.  Just wild.  He's a guy that could end up elsewhere and we look wildly foolish in how we used him.

He didn't fit with what our DC does. It was insane he didn't get moved before he just walks away for nothing.

Players we drafted still on the team since 2016:

2016: (0/5) none

2017: (1/7) Taylor Moton

2018: (1/8) Ian Thomas - likely gone

2019: (1/7) Brian Burns

2020: (min 1/7) Brown pending, maybe YGM

2021: (4/11) Horn, Brady, Tremble, Hubbard - TMJ will be gone momentarily

2022: (3/6) Icky, Mays, Barno

2023: (5/5) In tact but DJJ, Zavala and Jammie aren't long for these parts

How do you guys expect Bryce to improve if we don't go get him a #1 WR?

Are we trying to set him up to fail?

Who gives a fug if we are rebuilding. Go get your QB something to work with. My goodness people what is with some of you saving money. What are you saving money for?

They are the Miles Sanders of WR’s. They are not #1’s worth 25mil/yr.

Don’t know why trading for Pittman is getting the reaction it is here. He’s 26 and proven he’s a #1 WR. A trade involving Burns and Pittman would be fine by me.

He's about the only target that seems like a good addition longer term.  He's got great ball skills, great downfield tracking ability and is aggressive.  And Indy does have a pass rushing need.

Burns for Pittman and a 3rd-ish could be an interesting approach, albeit, a bit of a pipedream.

    • They will be if they extend Young but I don't think we're there just yet. Morgan and Canales are tied and I don't believe Tepper is going to go look for a new front office for Bryce as things stand.
    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
