I think that's the other way around, you've been parroting other Huddlers' opinions for a long time, but you're right, we're not the same.

You've literally offered nothing but links to other people's opinions. I've offered my own. That offends you. I'm not sorry. That's what this place is for. You have a differing opinion on a prosect. Cool. I'm not offended.

Dynamic route runners are needed. Route runners that can create separation in 2.7 seconds. Route runners that can run EVERY route in the WR Route Tree. Route runners that DBs fear. Route runners with great footwork. Pick 33 needs to be a great route runner if WR is taken.

My favorite pick would be Ladd McConkey, but other route runners can be taken later.

Double dip - Ladd McConkey and Pearsall, or Ladd and whoever.

Bryce can't see anything, he needs route runners to get to their spots within 2.7 seconds so he can throw the ball to a spot and hope it doesn't get picked off by someone that's watched a bunch of tape. Legette would probably actually be worse than Mingo at getting open underneath. Very little separation even on his highlight reels

I have said plenty about Legette over several threads. You've offered nothing except that he reminds you of Mingo. That's it.

Anyone can see that he's big, strong, explosive, tracks the ball with the best of them which, obviously has strong hands, has great hops, and because of the latter three he has an excellent catch radius. These are obvious to anyone who has watched his plays. Also obvious is the fact that true speed is reflected in his game speed, as he's run away from NFL-caliber DBs. As a matter of fact, anyone who has done their research knows that his damned-near 23MPH would've been faster than any receiver in the NFL last season.

Now, honestly, I've heard that he's a better than average blocker, but I haven't watched that aspect of his game.

You know, If I wasn't dealing with you or the Huddle, I may have been offended by your decidedly provocative insinuation that I don't know how to form my own opinion, or that I haven't offered anything other than links---maybe in this thread, but of course limiting my content to only this thread seems kind of contrived---but I am dealing with the normal craziness of this place so I am more amused than offended.

I am comfortable with differing opinions, and I appreciate the ones that are well researched, or at least well thought out.

Hmm I'd like to go back and watch what he had on Mingo last year as well....Haven't watched their tape back to back but the ras scores are nearly identical

You're not the same?  You're very much parroting things other people have posted in here.  You didn't come up with the Mingo/Legette comparison lol.  Seems like you both read evaluations of prospects and based on what is compelling to you, you formed an opinion.  That's a very normal thing to do...not sure why the petty self-righteousness.

Your evidence only supports that the two of them are very similar physically/athletically.  I don't think you've supported your broader argument that they are similar prospects.  You're basically unironically doing the meme on here where every short agile WR prospect = Steve Smith.

Here, let me help you.

You've basically rubber-stamped the idea that they are the same. I've seen you pieing posts up and down the Huddle on that very narrative. It's your prerogative, like you say, but just be honest about it. That's not even up for debate anymore.

Furthermore, the preponderance of NFL rookie receivers need some type of help with their route trees, so you're really not saying anything with that.

His agility is what it is, it's really not up for debate. His body type---basically being jacked and/or naturally big---limits his lateral movement to a degree. Does that mean he's not worth a second round pick, especially when viewing the totality of his actual game or considerable upside? Well that's a question for individuals to answer on message boards and NFL franchises to answer in the 2024 NFL draft.

As prospects they are very similar. Yes.

He might be worth a 2nd round pick, I just don't think he's a great fit for us due to redundancy. I did this same thing about Funchess with KB on the roster.

Why is this so triggering for you?

I’m looking for someone that can get open quickly, is already a good route runner, great at creating separation. And from what I’ve seen and read, that’s not Legette.

Without that skill set, how do you think he’ll fit in our offense? And why don’t you think those skills are important?

    • I know we're in the hopium phase of the year right now but this is all over the game film that every defense we face is going to be waiting for. If Bryce keeps doing this sooner or later we are going to be stuck arguing over why this or that receiver sucks because they can't bail out Bryce all the time. Legette would just be next in line. Bryce is a first overall pick. He's got to figure out how to get some more torque out of his arm. These yarns about his frame and this and that just seem like an excuse to justify him not wanting to lift weights. He's got to match the output of his offensive counterparts who have been putting in the work.
    • Well, if we'd sat Bryce then we'd have gone 17~0 on the way to Superb Owl win!  Of course right? Honestly, it's one of those Schrodinger's Cat situations.  There are an infinite number of possibilities that it could have been between: Worse and Better.   Dalton would have looked better.  We'd have won more games.  Reich would probably be going into year two with Scott Fitterer at GM.  Would we be a be a better team? We would have zero idea if Bryce was the dude, kind of where we are now.  Except Bryce would not have had as much adversity.  With QBs in the NFL, you don't have much time to evaluate.  You used to be able to sit guys for a year or two, but now a days, you are up and playing week 1. I think we'd be in worse shape honestly.  I like how things are going right now under D&D.  I am not sure Fitterer would have done any better in FA or the Draft or if Reich would have shown his coaching acumen any better in 2024. So instead of changing the past, we have to keep looking forward.  Learn the lessons from the past, but keep moving forward.
